Work History
06/11-Present: Good Samaritan Medical Center; 200 Exempla Circle, Lafayette
CO 80026
Hired as staff nurse, served as interim charge nurse from January through
first of July 2013. This busy recovery room averages 35 to 40 patients
daily with some days serving over 50 patients. As the charge RN, I managed
the work flow of 16 phase 1 bays and 12 phase 2 bays with a maximum of 18
OR rooms running. This fast-paced, think-on-your feet environment included
overseeing 16 to 18 RNs, coordinating breaks, serving as a resource for
surgeons, anesthesiologist and nurses as well as insuring patient safety
from arrival to the PACU until discharge either to home or to a hospital
room. Patient population included a full range of procedures from
orthopedic to diagnostic, acute trauma and medical. This dynamic team
atmosphere valued collaboration between surgeons, anesthesiologists,
respiratory therapist and nurses.
Further, I was sent to our sister hospital in Kansas to assist with their
transition to computer documentation using Epic and E-summit as an end user
support expert. Also, I was a super user in our PACU for electronic
medication administration documentation.
05/10-Present: Parallon Management Solutions; 600 South Cherry Street,
#920. Denver, CO
Parallon is the premier staffing agency for all Healthone facilities both
locally and nationally. As an agency nurse, I float to any HCA facility
that has staffing shortages on units from PACU to telemetry and PCU. Being
a flexible, quick learner is mandatory as each assignment requires adapting
to different patient acuities, staff dynamics, doctor expectations and unit
specific protocols. The ability to quickly and accurately assess patient
condition, interpret diagnostic results and understand the overall plan of
care for each patient is paramount.
04/09-5/10: The Medical Center of Aurora: 1501 S Potomac St, Aurora, CO

Employed on the telemetry unit, and then transferring to the Progressive
Care Unit. Responsibilities included caring for a mixed population of
patients presenting with multiple co-morbidities. Patient census includes
urology patients with CBI, post operative orthopedic patients with a
cardiac component, cancer patients, patients experiencing syncope or
electrolyte imbalances as well as rule out myocardial infarction and
pre/post cardiac catheterization patients. As the primary care nurse,
communication with patients and family in difficult and sensitive
situations was part of each day.
2000-2011: Real Estate Agent/Project Manager
Metro Brokers of Cherry Creek: 201 Steele Street, Denver, CO 80206
Bought and managed renovation projects for personal investment to include
market analysis, purchase, renovation, budgeting, contractor negotiations

and completed multiple transaction for clients both selling an existing
