firm with duties that include developing media strategies for clients,
writing and editing fundraising proposals and review of contracts.
Public Defender 1988-1992: Served as Public Defender in the
Municipal Courts of Newark, Plainfield, and East Orange, New Jersey
handling all aspects of misdemeanor offenses, driving while
intoxicated, traffic and city code violations.
Special Counsel 1988-1992: Served as Special Trial Counsel for the
City of Elizabeth, New Jersey representing the City in Civil Trials of
Torts, Tax abatements and Contracts. Additional duties include writing
memoranda of law for City Council, review of municipal contracts and
mediating contract disputes.
