Piping Engineer

. Checking & preparing Piping General arrangement using information from

various sources, including site studies, vendor drawings, catalog data,

engineering sketches, reference Like P&ID, and Isometric drawings and

input from other disciplines.

. Calculating the total scope of work (inch dia, volume, no of spools,

total surface area for insulation, number of test packages, scope of

structure). Preparing and reviewing method statements & ITPs.

. Studying the area and planning for crane position, sequence of spools to

be erected, supports to be erected and type of scaffolding required.

. Carrying out the responsibility of Giving on the spot solution to minor

problems encountered. Reporting the work progress daily and weekly to the

superiors.

. Supporting quality assurance & quality control department in their

activities and carry out stage wise inspection of Job whenever required.

. Studying of test packages and completing the work according to priority

of testing. Executing pressure testing test package wise, pre-mechanical

commissioning and box up.

. Following the project from start to finish and make any necessary changes

along the way, ensuring that the procedure is being followed while

checking the safety features of the project during the time it is being

completed.

Scope Construction of utility area (package no-5B) of Jubail Export

Refinery Project, owned by Saudi Aramco. As a piping execution

engineer, I handled pre-fabrication of spools in shop, field erection

and release for testing.

. Responsible for the project execution activities involving finalization

of technical specifications, procurement, scheduling, erection, testing &

commissioning and resource planning.

. Prepared job specification and job safety analysis (JSA) and get it

approved by client. Raised the necessary permits to commence the job in

the live area.

. Prepared the job schedule to finish the job in time and Monitored the job

to assure that all subordinates are strictly adhering to safety

procedures.

. Accountable for analyzing root causes for the minor problems encountered

and executing the feed backs from client in the daily and weekly

meetings.

Scope Partial shutdown of Qatar Gas LNG train-4 to repair a damaged medium

pressure steam line of size 44"and length of 230mtrs. Our mission was

to cut and remove the existing line and erect the new line by

strictly following the safety procedures since all nearby lines were

live.

ONGC's offshore facility. Larsen & Toubro was the main contractor in

this project.
