Project: EED-SSL
Description: EED provides clients with litigation support services and
products. In particular the Workflow Services (WS) application enables
EED to scan and process large amounts of client data which is presented
to the user for review through the Discovery Partner (DP) web-based
application. Clients may then export selected data to scanned sets,
which are combinations of .tiff image files and ASCII based text load
files.
While the WS application provides an enormous amount of power in scanning
native files, it currently lacks the ability to process scanned sets
previously exported with the DP application or with competitor's
applications. EED currently spends a great deal of manual effort and
uses several different applications to process scanned sets for use with
the DP application.
EED-SSL (Electronic Evidence and Discovery-ScannedSetLoad) application
will allow EED to reduce costs associated with labor intensive processes
and minimize support costs associated with maintaining multiple systems.
The SSL application will furthermore minimize turn-around time for
clients with scanned set needs while minimizing errors potentially
introduced through manual processes.
There are 3 major phases in this project:
. UI Part with involves creation of 8-10 wizard screens
. Server Classes used to port the UI data to database
. Service layer, which mainly works on the whole data and does the actual
validation and data processing.
Responsibilities:
. Preparation of the Requirement Document and Design document.
. Coding and peer reviews.
. Checked-in code in source control CVS and SVN.
. Used Cruise Control to build the code.

shareholder. In case of new shareholder, a new folio number was generated
and all the certificates and shares were transferred to the transferee's
account. The system also prepared a new certificate for a shareholder if
the holder lost the certificate or if the certificate was torn or in case
of splitting a single certificate into a number of certificates or
consolidating a number of certificates into a single certificate. This
system identified the valid requests and the invalid requests and ran a
separate process for each type of transactions for all valid requests.
Invalid requests were rejected and were not taken for process.
