Manager, Product Safety & Compliance

Coleman Co., Inc., 2011 - 2012 (due to company-wide lay-offs).

. Project management and budgeting for both established SKUs and new

product development, as well as or 3rd party testing, regulatory

submissions and vendor contracting.

. Constant analysis of, and / or contact with, global regulating bodies

and standards including CFR (29 & 49), CPSC, CPSIA, ANSI, ASTM, UL, CTL,

SGS, OSHA, EPA, Prop 65, CARB, TB 117, Health Canada, Environmental

Canada, US Coast Guard, FTC, CCPSA, AQSIQ, REACH, Europa. ECN (running

change) and PSA (production start) approvals.

. Author of all global product regulatory specifications, for all

product lines / SKUs, in addition to compliance labels and safety warnings

on products and packaging. Project manager for global law labeling and,

subsequently, manager of these regulatory standards for 19 foreign

factories (in addition to 1 domestic), as well as a government / factory

liaison.

. Product safety consultant for various hardline, softline and

fuel products. Researching and assuring quality and standards were

compliant with state, federal and international regulations (as well being

proactive to forecast possible upcoming changes and have contingency plans

in place). MSDS consultant and liaison between company EHS representatives

and global regulatory entities.

. Collaboration / consulting with domestic and international

'teams', including engineering, sourcing, product development, marketing,

and finance, under the Coleman 'umbrella'. Additionally, I was in routine

contact with global governmental officials, trade and regulatory entities,

and legal teams in emerging markets (especially, Asia).

. Constant usage of SAP to build sales / quantity sold reports

(pertaining to my stewardship role), as well as researching the validity of

a multitude of SKUs.

. Researched and implemented cost reduction changes resulting in

saving Coleman in excess of 80K, while bringing about better communication,

. Group owner of compliance consulting for new toy product line

initiatives. Tracking and tracing shipments if compliance was in question.

Along with other colleagues, I was laid-off in January, 2012. I am

extremely active in webinars, internet training courses, and receiving

automatic internet updates for everything from the Code of Federal

Regulations, OSHA, REACH, GHS, SARA, CPSC, CPSIA, ASTM, UL, CA Prop 65,

Health Canada, WHMIS, ECHA and others, just to help be assured that I don't

lose any of my previously acquired knowledge while remaining at the

forefront of new technologies and standards.

Invista S.A.R.L., 2007 - 2009 (due to company-wide lay-offs).

. Global MSDS, GHS and hazardous label author for all four company

business lines (which included chemical, fuel, polymer and apparel

products). Majority of authoring was for new, R&D products (no

templates were ever used). I performed all necessary international

standard evaluations, toxicology profiles, physical analyses,

transportation classifications and translations.

. Broad spectrum knowledge of not only domestic regulatory bodies

and entities, such as ANSI, NIOSH, TSCA, EPA, OSHA, DOT, SARA, PCRC,

CERCLA, RCRA, HMIS, and NFPA, Prop 65, but also foreign regulatory

standards throughout each of the countries of the European Union (EINECS,

ECHA), Asia-Pacific, South America, Mexico, and Canada (CEPA, WHMIS, DSL /
