January 2011 - Present NISOC Company
Sr. Reservoir Production Engineer
During last 2 years as part of an integrated-engineering team, in excess of
3-millions barrel/day oil production of NISOC, I have contributed in
several projected and routine responsibilities. My duties include:
Stimulation candidate-well selection, fracturing design engineering,
reservoir fluid properties statistical monitoring through whole reservoir

Production Logging-well-data
October 2007 - 2011 NISOC Company
Production Technology Engineer
I worked in NISOC central department of production engineering office with
more than 3-milion barrel per day oil production, all well-test analysis,
stimulation job designs and production tests, monitoring, production
modeling and optimization using artificial lift design was in our team-
responsibilities, based on different aspects to all available data. Yearly
statistics official reports shows that due to more than 25 acidizing jobs
and 100 xylene/Gasoil injection jobs in year result in increasing daily oil
rate up to 300**-***** barrel per day to maintain the "Yearly Production-
Official-Rate-Commitment". I worked in production engineering operation
section, several surface-well-testing operation jobs was in our team
duties, GOR-test, multiphase rates measurement, Sep.-test and etc.
PROJECTS
.
1- Master Development Plan and Full-Field Study of 2 huge Oil Fields
Participated in Ahwaz-Bangestan & Gachsaran-Asmari Reservoirs integrated
studies team. (Analysis of Build-up/Drawdown tests, production modeling and
optimization, preparation of an especial algorithm for stimulation
candidate-well selection, study of perforation efficiencies, pressure and
rate transient analysis.)
2- Revising Reservoir Stimulation Design Procedures
Submission of acidizing procedure for volatile oil reservoir (job-design
procedure using excel worksheet) Applied in several stimulation jobs
successfully.
3- Fluid Characterization and Asphaltene Precipitation Study
Working on PVT data analysis, SARA tests data, heavy fraction
characterization, EOS tuning and modeling, and analysis of spatial and
depth variations of fluid properties. In Azadegan heavy Oil-field there are
several horizontal well that produce under-expected rate with high BHFP. I
have used PVTsim-software and study the probability of asphaltene
deposition.
4- Study of Water Production Problems and Solutions
Study of unwanted water production in 2 reservoirs, water coning,
channeling behind casing, calculation of optimum production rate, and
performance prediction after water breakthrough.
5- Rock mechanical earth modeling (MEM) study
Studying and investigation of more than 3 projects of MEM/GEM to calculate
fracture gradient and pore pressure in Ahwaz oil-field (wells number: AZ-
17, AZ-360, AZ-422, AZ-441, AZ-442) in order of determining of maximum
allowable injection rate.
6- Reservoir Characterization by Well Test and Production Log Analysis
Pressure and Rate Transient Data Analysis using analytical and numerical
methods of more than 300 wells in Asmari, Bangestan and Khami reservoirs of
Haftkel, Rage-sefid, Zilaee, Naft-sefid, Gachsaran, Ahwaz, Maroon, Azadegan
fields were analyzed including different well geometries, formation types,
reservoir fluid types, well/reservoir models, reservoir drive mechanisms,
drainage-area shape, well-test type.
Interpretation of several production log data in assesses of effective
reservoir thickness and flow profiling in Gachsaran-Asmari reservoir due to
high heterogeneous and fractured thickness profile.
7- Reservoir Dynamic Flow Behavior Analysis
In addition of pressure and rate transient data analysis, I've used R.T.A.
well-testing and Topaz-ecrin software to model, predict and forecast future
production.
8- Complex Pressure Transient Data Analysis
Extensive works on de-convolution algorithm for well-test data preparation
and modification for Rate Validation, Pressure Data affected by wellbore
storage and Extension of short-time Well-test Data.
9- Stimulation Candidate-well Selection
Submission of a new procedure in NISOC for candidate-well selection. This
project includes analysis of well-testing and modeling for more than 100
wells in different completions and specifications with complicated matching
of flowing bottom-hole pressure surveys. Study of Flowing and Static
Pressure-Temperature Surveys, RFT Reports and interpretation especially in
layered reservoir; Ahwaz-Sarvak, Daily Drilling report for mud loss info,
Full-set (conventional) Logs and GWL (graphical well log) Reports,
DSI/Image Logs Reports for fracture characterization, Core Analysis study
(SCAL/Routine Tests data), UGC/Structural Cross Plot View Maps, Well
performance sensitivity analysis due to several important parameters,
Pressure/Rate Transient data analysis to evaluate pre- and post-jobs
conditions, Interpretation of Production Log Data to evaluate pre- and post-
jobs conditions, Acid and water back-flow test for evaluation of acid-
performance.
10- Fracturing-job Design Study and Analysis
Pre-fracturing jobs study of well AZ-250 and AZ-268 based on strategy of
proper candidate-selection. In this work I've used Pipesim, Saphir and
Topaz software to study production performance and optimization analysis,
reservoir characterization and production forecasting. The wells also are
studied based on geo-mechanical properties. After that I've modeled
synthetic fracturing job using FracproPT software for consistency analysis
in aspect of stimulation engineering. The result was an official technical
report on PETROCHINA oil company proposal of these wells.
11- Matrix-acidizing and non-acid Treatment Design
Designing and evaluating stimulation-jobs including matrix-acidizing and
non-acid treatment (xylene/Gasoil injection to remove asphaltene deposition
from the wellbore, mutual solvent and surfactant treatments) of more than
100 wells consist of Ahwaz Bangestan hair-line Fractured Carbonate oil-
reservoir (sever BHFP drawdown due to fracture-depletion and dense-matrix
flow contribution), Ahwaz Asmary mixed layered sandstone-carbonate
reservoir (in order of start-up and operate of wells after drilling),
Gachsaran & Rage-sefid highly-fractured-carbonate reservoirs (water/gas
coning problems due to sever BHFP drawdown), Pazanan volatile-oil and
Maroon-Khami condensate reservoir (with most liquid-blockage problems due
to high BHFP drawdown), Azadegan heavy-oil-reservoir (Sarvak carbonate
reservoir with many horizontal-completion and strangely high BHFP drawdown.
using many stages in job-design)
