Business Intelligence EDW Support team is responsible for Operations and

Maintenance of EDW data warehouse and Business Objects Enterprise Suite.

Responsibilities

. As a Technical lead, architect the Dashboard solution to provide

Dashboards to the client with ease and quickly. It involves creating

and modeling a new Data Mart, adding tables, ETL designs and BO

Universe.

. Performance tuning methods are incorporated to lower the response time

of Dashboards. Methods include but not limited to creating aggregate

tables in the data mart, creating independent Dashboard Services in

CMC, assigning resources to Dashboard Services, table indexing, query

optimization, use of ad-hoc as well as scheduled instances in the

dashboard and use of connections like LIVE Office, Qaaws, Query

Project - Veterans Benefit Affair: Performance and Analytic team

responsible for the Data warehouse, reporting and maintaining the database

and answer adhoc queries from the user.

Responsibilities

. Analyzed business requirements and developed new database schema for

the work-study group and 15 new Oracle discoverer reports based on new

schema that will provide the summary and detail figures to the

management.

. Design new physical and logical data model for the work-study schema

using the Oracle Designer. The new model is based on the Star schema

methodology. Created of the fact and dimension tables in the database

as per design specifications and defined constraints on the tables.

. Loaded data in the tables by creating Informatica Mappings and

Workflows.

This project was for testing new product, collecting data and making

improvements to make it a more efficient system. Testing, data gathering

and analysis was major part of the project.

Responsibilities

. Reliability Growth Study in DaimlerChrysler Transport Center. Fleet

of 400 trucks managed by DaimlerChrysler Transport Center, was

studied, analyzed by data collecting and building reports and

metrices.

. Created baseline for the fleet by collecting data of maintenance

history and calculated Mean Time Before Failure, Mean Time To Repair,

parts cost, labor cost and mean miles between failures.

. Automated the Maintenance and operational metrics to produce monthly

reports for top performing trucks.

. Built Business Objects reports showing operating metrics for the fleet

based on the data gathered and metrics.

. Communicated on personal level to different mechanics, supervisors and

vendors to figure out the requirements for the process and documented

it.

. Built and documented a step by step warranty claiming process that

resulted in savings of over $100,000 in one quarter for the company.

. Studied the PM scheduling of DCTI fleet and analyzed the ways of cost

cutting without sacrificing the service.

. Proposed new PM scheduling that would save trucks extra trip to the

maintenance shop and that would be a huge cost benefit as it saves

labor hours and increases operational hours.
