BIO-LUBRICANTS, AN ALTERNATIVE FOR MINERAL BASED ENGINE OILS

This project aims to develop a bio-based lubricant that can be used as an effective

alternative for mineral oil. Based on ASTM methods, the properties were obtained and

compared to mineral oil properties. Also a blending of Castor oil was developed and

has been proved that it is more effective.
