In late 2009, it was necessary for me to take the time to prepare and sell
my mother's home and downsize her to a retirement community. This project
is now complete, she is happy, and I am ready to re-enter the workplace. I
have also been active in doing volunteer work at StepUp Ministries, which
provides a job readiness program helping individuals with resumes,
interview skills, and dressing appropriately for interviews and the
business environment.

. Successfully increased customer retention by partnering with 23
Dealerships in the Greensboro area that included collaborating with
Service, Parts, and Sales Managers to retain General Motors customers
by improvement of the customer's purchase and service experience.
. Tracked and evaluated results of promotions and programs, and
developed training paths for dealership personnel to improve customer
retention results.
. Recognized at MidYear Channel Review as being the only F.O.D.M. in
the Southeast Region to have a positive trend in increased customer
pay revenue in my area of responsibility.

General Motors District Service Manager (Charlotte Zone), 1999 - 2008
. Responsible for all aspects of dealership service: warranty
administration, customer satisfaction, personnel training, and
profitability for 13 General Motors dealerships in the Charlotte area.
. Efficiently traveled and worked from a home office, created own
itinerary, etc., to meet the Regional and Zone goals for each of these
dealerships.
. Ranked as #2 District Ser Mgr within the Southeast Region on all
performance criteria. Won a trip to Hawaii by placing second out of
the 54 District Service Managers in the Southeast Region.
. Selected by GM Southeast Region to serve as liaison between General
Motors and Central Piedmont Community College for their Automotive
Technology Associate Degree Program to encourage careers in the
automotive industry.
. Recipient of the GM Southeast Region "Peach" award in 2002 for
outstanding leadership. Award is presented to recipients nominated by
their Zone Manager and approved by the Regional Managers.
. Selected to research and revise the Warranty Administrator Training
Courses being offered through General Motors to improve and update the
course material. Worked with the National Training Manager and course
facilitators to completely update the material.
