business and operational improvements. Support services in human resources, recruiting, lean practices,
supplier and customer connections, marketing, sales, transportation, warehousing, organizational
improvements and legal compliance.
Managing Partner
Recruit new clients and manage existing customers. Customers include start up and established
international companies primarily Asia based, operating in Mexico with desires to expand their businesses
into the United States. Customer businesses represent the injection molding, manufacturing, corrugated,
folding carton, printed materials, packaging services and transportation industries.

Maxell is a Japanese company and subsidiary of Hitachi which is one of the largest companies in the
world. Maxell specialized in the manufacturing and sales of consumer media based products. As a world
leader in the media industry, annual sales peaked at $750M with approximately 1000 employees.
Manufacturing operations were in Conyers, Georgia, San Diego, CA, San Jose, CA and Tijuana, Mexico
with the Sales and Corporate office in New Jersey. Internal Headquarters and Offices were located in
Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto, Japan.

Major Accomplishments and Responsibilities
• Primary team member of 3 manufacturing plan start-ups: San Diego, CA, San Jose, CA and
Tijuana, Mexico all on time and below budget.
• Direct management responsibility for H.R. programs including: recruitment, staffing, policies,
procedures, training, benefits, retirement (401K), bonus/incentives and legal compliance issues
for all U.S. manufacturing locations and Mexico.
• Experience with H.R. programs from creation to consistent operational implementation,
administration and functional oversight.
• Built and created a working environment in the Conyers, Georgia factory resulting in it being
classified as a top employer in the greater Atlanta area. Monthly turnover was less than 1%. The
NBC Today Show did a segment on the company and the high admiration for the operation by
employees. This reputation resulted in large numbers of applicant’s for any job recruitment.
• Twelve years of maquiladora cross border (U.S. and Mexico) management experience.
• Selected one of the top most effective and respected members of management by a survey of
employees conducted by an external labor law firm.

• No union activities ever initiated due to excellent programs, practices and training implemented.
• Due to a can-do attitude and proven record of accomplishments, leadership and team skills,
progressive promotions were received until reaching the top manufacturing division position.
• As business conditions changed, the company needed reorganizing. All human resources
activities, downsizings, closures and relocations and were managed on time and resulting in no
lawsuits.
• Lean manufacturing practices were utilized to enable manufacturing to compete with foreign
outsourcing options as long as possible.
• Recognized on two occasions by the Hitachi Maxell Chairman and President for top performance.
• Developed, modified and restructured benefit programs as needed by corporate budgetary
requirements. Negotiated health insurance savings of over $320,000 with no significant change
in benefit coverage for employees.
• Created and implemented aggressive safety and worker’s compensation programs resulting in
awards and recognition from our insurance carrier.
• Implemented creative shift structures that maximized employee satisfaction along with company
profitability and effectiveness.
• Performed as the company legal representative with no major actions realized.
• Board Member of Maxell De Mexico operation.
• Helped develop the company HRIS program on an ASW computer system.
