PPL-M Colstrip is a 4 unit electrical generation plant with 350 employees
and the capacity of producing a total of 2094 megawatts of electricity.
Coal is transformed into electricity by burning the coal to change water to
steam which drives a turbine generator. My role is to manage the safety
program for the plant and provide assistance to the Corporate Safety team.
. Coordinated seven key elements of the OSHA VPP into the plant
safety program and directed their application resulting in
the obtainment of the coveted "VPP Star Status".
. Improved working relations with the local union, OSHA
enforcement and plant management resulting in a 100%

than 250 employees).

North Dakota employers from reactive program into one that
