•Responsible for the accurate translation, edition, proofreading and desktop publishing of 28

technical manuals and 18 courses equating to over 10,600 pages of text and graphics.

•Interfaced with three subcontracting companies and dozens of Independent Contractors to

assign translations, provide feedback, standardize terminology, and steer overall

translation effort of these technical manuals

•Primary author on the creation of an Aeronautic specific terminology lexicon. Over 600

technical terms were identified in English and their corresponding words assigned in

Dari.

•Assisted in vetting numerous Dari editor candidates in order to find highly qualified Dari

editors to make up the staff shortfall. Also helped to train, mentor and advise the new

Dari editors on the subject of aviation and aviation terminology. Assisted in creating and

fostering a positive and open working environment, absent of politics and personal

agenda, which allowed all Dari editors’ opinions to be heard and considered. Assisted in

creating a standardized glossary of terms as well as other standardized translation

guidelines for the Dari editors to follow.
