PROJECT WORKS DONE:

. Done a project on"AutoSynchronisation of Alternator with Grid" using

Micro Controller in METTUR THERMAL POWER STATION,Mettur.

PROJECT SUMMARY:

. This Project is Industrial Project done in Mettur Thermal Power

Station. For effective functioning of Powerplant proper

Synchronisation is must,for proper synchronization three parameters

are consider (ie) Voltage, Frequency,Phase angle.An automatic

synchronization project has been developed for the parallel connection

of synchronous generators. Synchronous generators are also connected

in parallel with the line. The voltages, frequencies have been

transferred to the Microcontroller. These data are monitored and

evaluated by the control algorithm coded into the Microcontroller. The

Microconrtoller used in the project is PIC16F877A MICROCONTROLLER.

. Parallel operation of generators are realized automatically when all

parallel connection conditions are occur. The system doesn't require

additional measuring tools for monitoring and control processes. The

developed automatic synchronization project is fast, cost effective,

reliable and precise to be used for monitoring, measurement and

control processes.

. Presented a paper on "Impacts of Climate Change and its Importance"

in Karpagam College of Engineering,Coimbatore.
