producing product bank, disassembly and reassembly of the production
line, shipment of the production line, obtaining electrical and
maintenance requirements, in/off line testing, software programming,
personnel resources, etc. for both locations.
> Lead a team for a successful transfer of the Rain Light Sensor
production line from Bremen, Germany to Flora, Illinois for General
Motors and Ford Motor Corporation.
> Lead both successful internal and external Run at Rates for both
locations.
> Prior to this role, reported to the Pedal Sensor department and
created test fixtures gages, generated work instructions, visual aids,
modified control plans & PFMEAs, performed gage R&R studies,
capability studies, and completed 8Ds and 7 steps for customer issues
(GM, DC, Nissan).

> Supervised and managed fourteen skilled operators (machining
operators) in the production of turbine wheels for engines used in
commercial and military applications.
> Developed a Capacity Plan for three departments that determined the
amount of resources required and amount of required overtime to obtain
the monthly production schedule.
> Developed an MS Access database that collected, monitored and charted
three departmental goals and objectives that directly related to the
corporate goals. Each supervisor (3) and area manager utilized this
tool. 2004 total sales for all three departments were over $3.6M.
> Reduced consumable cost and avoidance in (2) departments by $1.2M in
2004.
> Reduced Lead-time from 25 to 18 days in the Low Pressure Turbine Wheel
department by implementing single piece flow, 5s, standardized work,
visual aids and input visual controls and reduced scrap rate by 30%.

> Directly interfaced with Pratt & Whitney (PW) on the following:
Process Routings, Purchase Orders, Drawings, Nonconformance's, and
Corrective Actions. This was in support for the nozzle liner
manufacture on the F22 Raptor and JSF Strike Fighter platforms.
> Responsible for the review and final approval on all process routings,
drawing/engineering changes and purchase order changes.
> Developed an MS Access database that collected and analyzed data for
all PW nonconformances, purchase orders and shipping data.
> Lead a team of associates that reduced the setup time from three hours
and non-repeatable, to fifteen minutes and repeatable on the 5 Axis
Laser for the convergent liner for the PW program.
> Primary interface with the PW Source Inspector to insure quality
compliance prior to shipments.
