March 2010 – March 2012
A new photovoltaic manufacturing company, served as the top executive for HR.
W rote the Employee Manual and all governing policies. Worked with the Office
M anager on Payroll, documentation, insurance, and Worker’s Compensation.
C reated a safety program and manual. Served as the Quality control officer and
w rote the quality guidelines for each station. I worked on the manufacturing line (at
each station to gain knowledge of the procedures and requirements), installed PV
systems on roofs, and wired homes for security and electrical. In the span of 2
months, learned enough electrical engineering (in reference to PV modules) to give
tours for professors and potential clients. Created all guidelines and forms for
employee evaluations, removal, discipline, hi ring, job assessment/description, all
request forms (including vacation). Trained all new employees in job functions and
H R policies and procedures. Conducted all interviews with Department Heads.
F undraising, Grant Writing & Management I ntern, L iberty Place Recovery
Center for Women, Richmond, KY
January 2009 – March 2010
Wrote several grants for a 100-bed residential substance abuse recovery facility for
women including proposals to a federal agency and non-profit foundations. Identified
foundation and wrote grant for a capital campaign to build a new facility. Assisted
d irector with fundraising packet.
W rote and received a $4,000 grant from the Bluegrass Community Fund.
Assisted with the development and execution of annual “Holiday Tea” fundraiser.
