WORK EXPERIENCE
Challenge Manufacturing Company August 2011-August 2012
Manufacturing Engineer
• GM K2XX product launch
• Responsible for all production machines that produce parts for GM K2XX program
• Suggest idea for continuous improvement to improve machine throughput resulting in decreased fixed and
variable costs
• Designed and implemented component attribute gage for GMX351 hood stryker wire to monitor incoming
product to assure exceptional finished assembly quality.
• Suggested dynamic weld positioning system to robot cell to decrease rework, therefore increasing cell
throughput and efficiency
• Designed and Implemented tensile test process for K2XX hood stryker that adhered to GM weld standards
• Managed current open issues list of K2XX product launch at the plant, prioritizing list due to severity of
problem.
• Worked along a cross functional team to support design reviews and changes happening to future K2XX work
cells
• Managed prototype builds of K2XX product line
• Determined production capability of work cells
• Coordinated and assisted maintenance together with Quality Control, problems that would occur on the work
cell and determined root cause of problem.
Crittenton Health Medical Center January 2011-April 2011
Process Engineer Intern
• Analyzed current state of Acute Services Rehab Center and suggested solutions to improve throughput
• Suggested improvements would increase patient throughput by 25%
• Developed simulation model using Arena to capture a reoccurring work day
• Project was done using six sigma tactics
Brose Jefferson Inc March 2010-August 2010
Intern
• Design and Implementation of Inventory Control System for spare parts of production lines, reduced cost to
10 percent of original cost of $29,600.
• Improved material flow of warehouse by auditing incoming and outgoing material for production lines.
• Design and implementation of tracking operator’s performance using the warehouse by using data collected
daily, weekly, and monthly.
