Specified and purchased programmable logic controllers, network hardware,
computers, and software.
Designed and implemented networked video process monitoring system.
Directed the work of electricians and other technical personnel in the
installation and maintenance of electrical and control systems.
Trained operations personnel in the use of computerized control systems and
human machine interface software.
Configured and maintained human machine interface and process data
historian software installations.
Installed and terminated multimode optical fiber cable.
Developed control wiring diagrams for motor control centers and custom
control panels.
Utilized various Rockwell Software products in the configuration,
programming, and maintenance of Rockwell Automation equipment.
Installed, configured and maintained Wonderware InTouch and Industrial SQL
Server software.
Diagnosed and resolved control system anomalies reported by operations
personnel.
More than 15 years of experience in the design, implementation, maintenance
and operation of process control systems. A proven record of analyzing
problems, finding innovative solutions, and developing and simplifying
procedures. Possess a wide range of electrical and mechanical skills
acquired through a unique combination of employment and personal interests.
Communicate effectively with all engineering disciplines.
SELECTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS
As a member of a design and implementation team developed a distributed
control system based on Allen-Bradley programmable logic controllers and
computers communicating over local and wide area networks for a large
wastewater treatment facility. Design and construction required a 5 year
effort at a total project cost of approximately $10,000,000.00. Accepted
the responsibility of managing and maintaining this system upon completion
of the project.
Managed the electrical and instrumentation portions of a major wastewater
process modification and facility renovation. Reviewed and approved
engineering drawings and specifications, directed the work of consultants
and contractors. Developed conceptual and detailed design of process
control modifications and building management systems. Total project cost,
approximately $7,000,000.00.
Refitted and re-commissioned an electronically controlled hydraulically
powered tower crane. Project consisted of new sensing devices, motor
control, wiring and mechanical components. Eventually retired from regular
service, this machine is now in use at the Operating Engineers training
facility near Brighton, Michigan.
