Court Winner. BS - Nebraska Wesleyan University. A noted author and sought-
after speaker, I can provide lists of speeches, articles published,
professional societies and community activities. "Q" Clearance with the

Selected Accomplishments
Revitalized Argonne's business development. Argonne had no coordinated or
team approach to business development and different disciplines were
duplicating effort. Created an integrated interdisciplinary business
development strategy. Won $32M in new projects. Made private enterprise a
larger part of the revenue stream.
Improved win rate. Ahtna had lost recent proposal bids for a Department of
Energy Program. The proposals were poorly written and did not meet the RFP
requirements. Developed a new process for writing and delivering
proposals. Led Ahtna to win the next two proposals resulting in $40M in
new revenue.
Met pressing need for qualified people. Idaho National Laboratory had an
immediate and continuing need for hard-to-find technical staff (PhDs in
Nuclear Engineering and expertise in Waste Management). Convinced regional
universities to add appropriate new degree programs. Ensured a ready
supply of well qualified personnel.
Opened a new practice area. After 9/11, convinced Idaho National
Laboratory to develop computer and cyber security laboratories and test
facilities. Made INL the Department of Homeland Security's lead for
explosives development and testing, and cyber security work. Won $35M in
annual revenue.
Professionalized Ahtna. The firm had no formal management procedures and
lacked trained managers. Developed project and program management training
programs. Improved customers' evaluations and led the company to win an
award for the management of a project Ukraine plus $15M in add-on business.
Initiated/authored PMI's first strategic plan. Established a 30-year
vision, a concise mission, and a set of objectives that could be
implemented on a tactical basis. Enabled PMI's growth to become a multi-
million dollar a year organization with 750,000 members. The world's
largest, best known project management professional society.
Developed PMI's leadership team. There was no training for PMI's leaders.
Developed Leadership Training that included leadership, communications and
more. This training evolved into the Leadership Institute which ensures a
steady supply of future international leaders to support PMI's continued
growth.
