NRHM/RCH-II Project -National rural health mission and Reproductive

and Child Health (RCH-II) is World Bank assisted project with the objective

to achieve the Millennium Health Goals and implementing the National health

policy at state level. In Madhaya Pradesh the project is implemented by

Dept. of Public Health and Family Welfare, Bhopal in all the 50 districts

of M.P

DISTRICT PROGRAM MANAGER, BETUL (Sep 2008 -Jan 2013)

MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: -

1. Overall responsible for the implementation of the National Rural

Health Mission (NRHM) /RCH-II project activities planned for the

financial year in the district.

2. Preparation of district health action plan (DHAP) for each

financial year and appraisal of DHAP from Directorate health

services.

3. Prepare the Detailed Project Implementation Plan(PIP)for each

sanctioned components

4. Liaising with District administration esp. Collector in the

frequent basis and coordinating with different project

stakeholders for effective implementation of project activities/

schemes.

5. Plan the allocation of Funds to Different Stake holders viz.

District Hospital, Community Health Centre (CHC), Public Health

Centre, Sub Health Centre, Different Samittis like Rogi Kalayan

Samitti (RKS),

6. Coordinating with different stake holders at District, Block and

State Level for the effective implementation of various Govt.

schemes viz. Janani Suraksha Yojna,Janni shishu suraksha

karyakaram, Immunization,Family Planning and Welfare Programs,

etc.

7. Plan for the Maternal Health, Child Health and Family Planning

Interventions for the District, coordinating with Stakeholders

for the implementation.

8. Engaging the Private Hospitals under Public Private Partnership

for providing the Maternal& Child Health and Family Planning

Services.

9. Planning for the strengthening of Govt. Health Institutions to

improvise in the health delivery services network/systems.

10. Planning for the capacity building programs for Medical officers, Paramedical Staff, and ASHA workers

11. Liaising with the different Govt. departments especially DWCD,

PHE, PWD, etc on regular basis for the effective implementation

of the project activities.

12. Responsible for the MIS, reporting to the State Office, District

administration, and Joint director office.

13. Organize the District Health Society meetings, workshops and

review meetings at the District level
