My name is Mark Panyanouvong, I graduated in Master of Engineering (MSc), in the major of
Construction Management from the University of North Texas on May/11th/ 2012.
I enclose my resume which outlines my academic and work experiences, as you can see, I have
had comprehensive t raining and experience in civil engineering, and I believe that this has
developed many of my skills that you have stated in your advertisement. My course work has
enabled me to gain knowledge and understanding of civil engineering, building technology and
construction as well as risk assessment techniques, legal and regulatory framework, health
and safety, and management.
I had been working for my professor as Research Assistant in University of North Texas since
September 2010 till I graduated, under the research project of Cold-Formed Steel and
collaboration with NUCONSTEEL Company supplied the testing experiment. Also, my three
years working with United Nations and two years with Communication Design and Research
I nstitute back home, which have helped me develop my team-work, communicational,
organizational, report writing and research skills and has also exposed me to various projects
i ncluding highways, bridges, reservoirs, dams, airports and buildings. My resume
demonstrates the variety of work in the construction sector and the skills that I feel I have
gained so far. My academic skills have given me the ability to communicate effectively on paper
as well as through presentations.
I feel that Metroplex Construction will offer me a challenging and rewarding career as a
construction engineer. I would welcome the opportunity to talk to you about a career that I
worked at school and my research, and I hope that you will invite me for a visit to discuss this
matter soon.
Sincerely,
Mark Panyanouvong
