Challenged by this $2 billion publicly traded corporation and industry

leader in the manufacturing of electrical products to take over operations

of a sub-par plant and return it to profitability. Served as project lead

on the $2.1 million plant expansion which included recruitment and

development of strong staff, turnaround of poor safety record and increase

in profitability.

. Instituted measurement tools and metrics to aid in the identification

of weak areas and initiated formal training programs for skilled

positions that tripled pounds and sales dollars for custom engineered

utility structures for electrical transmission.

. Drove direct change in profitability from a state of being in the red

through budget preparation, reduction of material costs, cutting

labor, attaining ISO approval and staff development; efforts resulted

in an average 18% on bid margins of 4%.

Plant Manager - Lancaster, South Carolina 1999 - 2006
