Quality Manager

. Manager of the Quality System for 5+ years for a high volume

automotive supplier of safety critical components. This

included the management of five quality engineers as well as

five laboratory technicians in two laboratories, metrology,

gage calibration and metallurgical.

. Developed master Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis

(PFMEA's) and manufacturing processes for several fluid

handling commodities.

. I developed a Pre-Production Approval Process (PPAP) training

program for internal associates as well as suppliers. The

focus was defining and mapping manufacturing processes,

documenting those processes and development of PFMEA.

. Prior to managing the Quality department, I was Quality

Engineer for two tube mill processes and final assembly.

Duties included micro photographic analysis of material pre

and post forming, welding, and annealing

. As Quality Engineer responsibilities included equipment

verification and buy off, verification of capacity,

measurement studies, etc.

. Provided support to the engineering team by creating floor

layouts, tool and gauge drawings from rough sketches to

finalized prints in AutoCAD.

. I performed root cause analysis, corrective / preventative

actions and coordinated Advanced Product Quality Planning

(APQP) activity including process flow, FEMA, control plans

for the tube mills as well as for finished assembly

production.

. Provided an interface between the customer and the

manufacturing realization process performing proactive and

reactive customer and supplier visits.

. As management representative, I coordinated the QS 9000

program and successfully rewrote the quality system

documentation, transitioned to TS 16949 and recertification.

This included interfacing with the registrar, conducting

internal audits, assisting in divisional audits, training

auditors and document control coordinators. I have more than

ten years experience as a certified supplier lead auditor in

the automotive industry in ISO 9001 and TS 16949.

. Led the initial registration program for ISO 14001,

Environmental Management Systems.

Customer Service Representative / Quality Engineer

. Visited customer assembly plants in a problem solving

capacity to evaluate and resolve extrusions and molding

product concerns. I acted as an interface between the

customer (General Motors) and three manufacturing plants in

Tennessee, Virginia and New Hampshire as well as reporting to

corporate offices in Farmington Hills, MI.
