Multi - unit, 24/7 human resources responsibility across three business

units: Generation, (coal fired power plants), Energy Delivery, and Customer

Business Unit Partner

. Provide counseling to management on employee development, training,

workforce planning, staffing, discipline, terminations, and corrective

actions.

. Manage performance evaluation process and assist leaders with creation

of goals and competencies

Employee Advocate/Labor Relations

. Active in grievance and arbitration hearings. Draft grievance

responses to the union.

. Counsel employees to improve or correct performance issues and

deficiencies.

. Lead investigations into employee issues/complaints and advise on

resolutions

. Actively involved in labor contract and wage negotiations, and

arbitrations

. Promote positive union relations by developing strong working

relationship with union stewards.

. Work with management to decide on level of discipline and draft

disciplinary, suspension, and termination letters

Recruiting/Staffing

. Recruit for both difficult to fill exempt roles and skilled non exempt

positions

. Administer pre-employment EEI tests, utilize applicant tracking

system, interview job applicants, and make hiring recommendations.

. Complete Affirmative Action Plans for assigned locations.

Recruiter I, Aug. 2004 - Oct. 2007, Columbus, Ohio

Staffed hundreds of positions to support billion dollar plant retrofit/new

build projects. Recruited for exempt positions in engineering,

construction, business services, project management, and legal. Developed

strong, strategic working relationships with all levels of management on

recruiting process, market analysis, and candidate placement. Advised

management on best practices, candidate selection, diversity, compensation,
