PROFILE
I am an independent freelance “Preditor” (Producer/Editor) performing virtually all aspects of post-production single-
handedly and often with wide creative latitude. This includes the content edit, concept and execution of motion graphic
elements, audio sweetening, scoring and prep for distribution. My specialties are fast, efficient editing through optimized
workflow and creating effective motion graphics that are appropriate to my clients’ brands and marketing objectives.
As an instructor at San Francisco State University, Apple-Certified Pro Trainer, blogger and paid webinar presenter, I have
led classes on filmmaking, video editing, motion graphics and effects with an emphasis efficient post-production workflow.
EXPERIENCE
CONTRACTOR, BAY PACKAGE PRODUCTIONS, SAN FRANCISCO, CA 2006 - PRESENT
I have worked on over 45 projects for this boutique production company which specializes in high-end HD videos for Old
Navy (Gap Inc.) and various galleries, theater companies and non-profit organizations. Work usually includes editing,
green screen compositing, motion graphics and DVD authoring.
CONTRACTOR, SYMANTEC CORPORATION, MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA 2008 - PRESENT
Completed over 70 projects consisting of over 130 videos since 2008. Working closely with client-side Producers, I have
completed testimonial, internal and sales videos that are comprised of a variety of source formats destined mostly for web
delivery on symantec.com or HD projection for industry conferences.
BLOG AUTHORSHIP / PROFESSIONAL WEBINARS FEB 2010 - PRESENT
I am the author of fcp.shortcutter.com, a popular blog for Final Cut Pro editors specializing in efficient editing through key-
board shortcuts. As the “FCP Shortcutter,” I have presented two paid training webinars for NewMediaWebinars, Inc. in
August of 2010 (FCP 7) and January of 2011 (FCP X).
OTHER CORPORATE ASSIGNMENTS 2002 - PRESENT
Have completed various corporate pieces for ShoreTel, Zoom Systems, Macromedia, PeopleSoft and others. In many of
these projects I was also the shooter. Projects have included broadcast ready spots for cable, the CNN Airport Network
and a 30 minute infomercial for the Arnold Laub Law Firm in San Francisco, CA.
CONTRACTOR, BEXEL BROADCAST SERVICES 2007 - 2009
I have worked various corporate and high-pressure network television sports broadcast events as a Support Tech for FCP
non-linear editing systems. I set up the systems and provided 24x7 hardware and software support for the duration of the
event. These deployments typically involve an X-Raid and multiple networked edit bays.

Have taught a variety of post-production courses for the Multimedia Studies program at SFSU including Cinema 423: Intro

Before making the transition to a post-production career, I was a Marketing Product Manager working for Pacific Bell and
prior to that for First Nationwide Bank (San Francisco). My corporate marketing background has given me the ability to
deliver effective, appropriate corporate videos with a minimum of approval cycles.
