Tool Expertise: I have expertise on the following instruments tools and
techniques: atomic force microscope, near-field scanning optical
microscope (spectral imaging), dark-field microscopy, lasers, optics,
reflection spectroscopy, dynamic light scattering machine, transmission
electron microscope, scanning electron microscope, X-Ray diffraction,
photoluminescence techniques, cathode luminescence techniques, spin
coating, electron gun evaporation, mass spectrometer, nuclear magnetic
spectrometer, gas chromatography and high pressure liquid chromatography.
Research Experience:
Research Assistant Ohio University: As a Research Assistant, I learned to
work independently. My responsibilities include the entire scientific
process. I design experiments to solve a specific problem, collect data,
analyze results, and present to my group for discussion.
Senior Lab Research Assistant: I had multiple responsibilities as the Head
Research Assistant including the maintenance of test equipment and
management of team member. I was also responsible for managing the lab
supply needs.
Academic Experience and Communication Skills:
Teaching Assistant: I learned essential leadership and communication skills
being a teaching assistant. My tenure consists of 6 quarters of General
Chemistry, 3 quarters of Physical Chemistry, and 1 quarter of Quantum
Mechanics.
Peer Led Team Learning Mentor: I taught student groups general weekly
chemistry packets and led discussions pertaining to the packets through my
undergraduate career.
Private Tutor: General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry
Other Work Experience:
Warehouse Employee Dayton Ohio: Hart & Cooley Inc. July 2007 - August 2007
At Hart and Cooley I learned to take pride in a physically demanding job.
Warehouse Employee Dayton Ohio: Basic Drugs Inc. June 2002 - July 2007
Basic Vitamins taught me how to work hard and to use my time efficiently.
Skills: I am proficient with Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint. I
have some programming experience in Mathmatica, Mathcad, Python, and
LabView. Other software skills include GRAMS AI spectral analyzer, Origin,
and L-Edit. I have exemplary communication skills developed for my teaching
responsibilities. I am hardworking, honest, self-motivated and dedicated.
