Summary

Highly experienced in design and development of women’s luxury accessories including handbags, belts, small

leather goods and some men’s accessories. Currently freelance and owner of Margo (e-commerce).

Previously co-founder of accessories label BORBA MARGO. The eponymous line launched as a collaborative

effort in 2005, winning critical acclaim with a series of collections whose unique, bold and sensual expression

became a signature.

The Multicentric belts became archetypes after successfully being selected by Rei Kawakubo for Dover Street

Market. Commercial success ensued in leading fashion boutiques around the world with stockists such as

Browns Focus, Liberty and Harvey Nichols in London, Colette in Paris, Opening Ceremony in NYC, LA and

Tokyo and Scanlon &Theodore in Australia.

Borba Margo is a four-time recipient of the British Council’s NEWGEN award.

includes: bags, belts, gloves, other small leather goods and jewellery.

• Explore and determine concepts, colours, shapes, materials and technical elements for each season

• All processes surrounding research and development throughout to the final result with the finished

collections, ultimate responsibility for the quality of the final creative work

• Creative direction to all promotional material, including graphic/art/photography work

• Ensure the quality of the final product is achieved by working closely with the production team (in UK and

• Handling and resolution of technical, design, production and cost issues and their possible effect during the

course of the progress

• Managing and determining financial resources, pricing, liaise with suppliers, organising sales and dealing

with buyers in the UK and abroad

Accessories Designer - Weekday Collaboration at WEEKDAY (Cheap Monday, MTWTFSS)

The Swedish store Weekday, known for its line of MTWTFSS clothing and its globally popular denim brand

Cheap Monday, is a retail business that includes eleven international stores, four collections and a number of

designer collaborations.

For the collaboration BORBA MARGO FOR WEEKDAY, I have designed 3 styles of leather belts for

women. The collaboration items are sold in all Weekday stores including stores in Stockholm, Malmoe,

Gothenburg, Berlin, Hamburg, Oslo, Helsinki and Copenhagen.
