Summary
Personal Statement
I would have to say my greatest passion is variety and travel. I grew up in New England, was raised part-time
in the Southeast. I graduated middle and high school in Southern California. My travels include: Miami, Boston,
New York, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Nashville, New Orleans, Atlanta, and many more. My experience traveling
has given me great and lasting memories. Three defining qualities that represent me would be autonomous,
ambitious, and innovative.
To start, I consider myself independent, I work best under pressure and according to timelines I set for myself.
An example of this would be when instructors change due dates on assignments. I typically work around the
clock, on my own initiative on assignments. Next, I am driven and confident. I like to feel good about what I do
and how I look, I think that this quality shows itself best through me by my verbal and communication skills.
Finally, I consider myself adventurous; this can be explained by my abundance of vocational destinations.
My goals include working in the field of Business and getting into graduate school. I want to become an
Industrial-Organizational Psychologist because I have a passion for research and I also enjoy experimental
psychology when it deals with productivity, motivation, and overall wellbeing at the work place.
Likewise, my passions include: child abuse prevention, clinical, abnormal, and forensic psychology, and
business administration. Some of my extracurricular activities include: Acting, Bowling, Cooking, Reading,
Playing Guitar, Rock Climbing and bike riding. Some of my occupations and achievements are: Student
Government Association (SGA); working as a librarian at Wallace (WCCS); working as a Real Estate leasing
agent; research assistant (UAB); volunteering at the UAB daycare center.
