command's overall mission/function from regional weather support to

antisubmarine warfare support.

focused on developing increased awareness of the ocean environment to

improve adversary submarine tracking.

$400M/year naval operations support organization. Delivered multiple high

. Led a series of business-line assessments to identify, evaluate and

analyze new business opportunities and improve timeliness and quality

of products and support services provided to established customers.

. Researched and analyzed processes used by military customers to drive

resource allocation and acquisition plans for dozens of naval

oceanography support programs. Divested $150M in outdated programs and

justified a $40M/year budget increase to advance cutting-edge

technologies.

mandated 25% workforce reduction and restructure a regionally-aligned,

3,000 person naval support organization.

. Key member of a team that developed the U.S. Navy's master plan for the

use of unmanned underwater vehicles (UUVs). Identified mission area

recommendations for use in multiple research and development (R&D)

operational use of emerging UUV technologies.

Operational Planner and Staff Oceanographer - Carrier Air Group Seven,

Coronado, CA 2000-2002

Executive-level adviser and provider of meteorology and oceanography

support services for ships, aircraft and submarines in a deploying U.S.

Navy battle group. Participated in the planning and execution of several

multi-national military operations as the battle group's long range planner

and scheduler.

. Developed and implemented a quick response scheduling plan to expedite

the deployment readiness of more than a dozen ships preparing for a

short-notice wartime transit to the Indian Ocean by tailoring plans to

meet individual unit needs. The approach, which enabled the entire

battle group to respond to real-world events and deploy two months

early, was formally adopted and standardized by the U.S. Navy for

future deploying units.

. Assembled a multi-national team of more than 60 military meteorologists

that responsively delivered high-quality personalized support services

to combat forces after September 11, 2001.
