WHILE IN COLLEGE I WAS NOT ONE OF THE FORTUNATE FEW WHO DID NOT HAVE TO WORK. I APPLIED TO A FEW
PLACES CLOSE BY MY APARTMENT AND WAS HIRED BY JENNIFER REYNOLDS AT ORIGINS. I HAD NO IDEA THAT IN
THE 5 YEARS I WORKED THERE I WOULD DEVELOP SUCH A DEEP PASSION FOR SKIN-CARE AND MAKE-UP, AS
WELL AS SELLING AND MOTIVATING. AT ORIGINS, I DEVELOPED THE SKILLS TO UNDERSTAND THE WAY A
CUSTOMER WANTS TO FEEL WHEN THEY WALK INTO A STORE LIKE ORIGINS. I ALSO LEARNED HOW TO APPLY
MAKEUP AND ADDRESS SKIN-CARE CONCERNS OF ALL TYPES, AS WELL AS ADJUST MY SELLING SKILLS TO MAKE
ALL TYPES OF PERSONALITIES FEEL COMFORTABLE AND BEAUTIFUL.
AFTER COLLEGE, I WAS OFFERED A POSITION AT A START-UP COMPANY, TRIANGLE RESEARCH LABS, WHERE I
HONED MY SKILLS OF ORGANIZATION AND OFFICIAL ACCOUNT MANAGING. THIS JOB GAVE ME THE SKILLS OF
MULTI-TASKING AND KEEPING MANY CLIENTS HAPPY, AS WELL AS FINDING NEW ONES. IT ALSO SHOWED ME
HOW TO GROW A BUSINESS FROM REACHING NEW CUSTOMERS THROUGH CREATIVE ADVERTISING CAMPAIGNS,
TO TRAVELING AROUND THE COUNTRY EDUCATING PEOPLE OF OUR PRODUCTS. AFTER MULTIPLE
PRESENTATIONS, I AM VERY COMFORTABLE SPEAKING INTELLIGENTLY ABOUT MY COMPANY’S PRODUCTS AND
ANSWERING QUESTIONS ABOUT THEM OFF THE TOP OF MY HEAD. I LIKE MY JOB, BUT I DO NOT LOVE THE
PRODUCTS (LIVER CELLS) I AM CURRENTLY SELLING. I WANT TO COMBINE MY LOVE OF SKIN-CARE AND MAKE-
UP WITH MY LOVE OF MANAGING. I WANT TO BE ABLE TO SPEAK CONFIDENTLY AND INTELLIGENTLY ABOUT A
BRAND THAT I AM TRULY PASSIONATE ABOUT. I KNOW WHAT IT WOULD TAKE TO BE SUCCESSFUL AT THIS JOB,
AND I HAVE THE DRIVE TO DO SO. I WOULD APPRECIATE THE OPPORTUNITY TO SPEAK FACE TO FACE WITH
SOMEONE FROM THIS COMPANY TO SEE WHERE I COULD POSSIBLY HAVE A PLACE. PLEASE REVIEW MY RESUME
AND I HOPE TO SPEAK WITH YOU SOON!
THANKS,

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
TRIANGLE RESEARCH LABS
DURHAM, NC UNITED STATES
Account Manager October 2012 - Present
• As an Account Manager for Triangle Research Labs I have many responsibilities. Since we are a
small start-up company, I am not only an Account Manager, but also in sales and business
development.
• When starting at the company I was given 200+ accounts to maintain positive steady relationships
with. It is my job to respond quickly and efficiently to my customer’s needs, as well as be able to
problem solve if they need something that we can not provide.
• It is my responsibility to not only respond effectively and in a timely manner to all emails and
phone calls, but also to check in monthly with my clients and make sure they are happy with our
products and know when they will be reordering. This helps our company to be able to forecast
sales.
• On top of maintaining our current relationship with clients, I am also in charge of finding new
business as well. I go to scientific conferences and educate people about our company, as well as
promote our brand.
• Another way I develop new business is calling on pharmaceutical companies, contract research
organizations, and educational research laboratories and making appointments to visit them. These
appointments take place all around the country and consist of a presentation and a demonstration of
how to work with our products in the lab.
• Before starting at Triangle Research Labs, the company was losing over $200,000 a month. Since
starting in October, the company is now profitable and is making over $200,000 monthly. I lend this
to not only maintaining positive relationships with current customers, but also landing some key
accounts.
• I have been instrumental in developing new business with three of our largest accounts: Cee-Tox,
Pfizer, and Apredica.
• Since January, I have exceeded sales goals by at least 20% monthly.
• I have increased client base by 55% since starting
• Involved in strategizing where company money should be spent, and making sure we remain in
budget.
• Familiar with expense reports and budgets from lots of travel.

• Open and close cash registers, performing tasks such as counting money, separating charge slips,
coupons, and vouchers, balancing cash drawers, and making deposits.
• Open store and get it ready for customers. De-activate alarm, respond to morning emails, count
registers, make sure store looks "open ready"
• Close store. Count registers, send nightly email calculating sales goals, how many customers
came in, how many were sat down.
• Re-cap events, telling how much business was brought in, and what can be improved with the
next event.
• Meet personal sales goals every day, week, and month. If not met, strategize how that will
improve. I personally met and exceeded my goals regularly. AUS, or average unit sales goal was 55
and I was regularly over 60.
• I performed facials on customers as well as make-up. I was the head make-up expert at our store
and would do clients make-up for special events and weddings as well as create fresh new looks for
them for day or night.
