Currently leading strategic projects on electric vehicle battery system design, market leading future product planning process and Lean Six Sigma Program Deployment design and implementation plan.

Senior Lean Program Director for the BRIC Expansion Program, leading the improvement programs in Brazil, Russia, India and China to support major market expansion plans. Direct the deployment of DFSS Lean Six Sigma, responsible for documenting and improving current business process and product across all functions across the extended value stream, including supply chain. Manage and Direct World-Wide Community of Practice around Reliability Engineering Product and Process design, TPM in plant operations and equipment specification and Continuous Improvement. Manage projects using Economic Profit Model that will deliver required profit margins, using a combination of PMO, Project Portfolio discipline and sophisticated contribution margin models to maximize margin and revenue, resulting in Gross Margin increase across product lines of +10%. Led the deployment of Operational Excellence and Lean Six Sigma within Global Commercial and Investment Bank operations. Responsibilities include supporting the President and his Leadership Team in developing and delivering strategic plans and tactical projects in support of the Corporate Hoshin Objectives. Designed and built the Innovation process and strategy for China Construction Bank using DFSS. Responsible for the development and implementation of Customer relationship process for Commercial Financial Product Customers, Sales and New Channel Development performance to exceed corporate goals on balance scorecard (Hoshin). Designed, built and managed the NPS (Net Promoter Score) process to identify and launch projects to increase customer satisfaction.
Led the development and implementation of a National Sales Playbook to standardize and replicate Line of Business Sales successes across the business, including New Client Acquisition, Client Management, and Cross Sell Opportunity Identification.
Designed and developed new instructional material for Process Excellence and Design For Six Sigma classes to incorporate Just In Time Training using on-site workshops. New material and delivery methods resulted in saving of time and money to lines of business.

On North America Truck Operations Director Staff, Product Development. Designed and built the initial Design For Six Sigma curriculum at Ford. Directly managed and coached a staff of 12 Black Belts, utilizing weekly one-on-ones, project gateway reviews, 360 reviews and bi-annual off-sites. Worked out of Ford National Warranty Service Center, analyzing returned parts for root cause, feeding results back to recall, service and product development teams for continuous improvement. Coached, managed, and closed over 60 Six Sigma projects in Product Development and Operations delivering over $9MM in business savings across 7 manufacturing plants. Led Mega-projects covering major process issues across multiple business units. Directed partnership of outside-supplier Black Belts (3M) on new product development projects benefiting both companies. Developed training updates for process improvements in the deployment of Six Sigma through membership in the Corporate Six Sigma Council. (from centralized training to JIT MBB-led workshops).
Automotive-specific relevant experience:
Launch team member of Romeo Engine Plant, specifying all quality systems, layout room, reliability growth program and gantry systems.
Launched Cleveland Engine Plant 1990-1995, including pre-launch APQP specifying Cylinder Head Line, entire plant quality system, and Lean plant layout. Brownfield from floor up. First implementation of program-wide TPS, utilizing returned-parts analysis requirement (FRACAS)of all equipment suppliers, and plant-wide replacement campaigns.
Launched Cleveland Casting Plant 1995-1999, including APQP, DCP, PPAP with all suppliers, the specification, vendor runoff, equipment acceptance and installation.
Responsible for launch and support of Lean Reliability improvement program across 15 engine and transmission plants in 7 countries.Led the planning and implementation of an international coalition of suppliers and plant sites during a multi-plant, multi-country new product launch with a budget of $12MM(Japan, Spain, Mexico). Drove negotiations that resulted in $3M in savings to Ford, while generating new business for the suppliers involved.
Led Supply Chain Optimization Project, resulting in a reduction of 30% of suppliers, along with increased stability in supply base due to better management and analysis of contracts that improved supplier efficiency and profitability, while lowering costs and achieving contractual cost reduction targets.
Leader of team that launched Ford Lean Production System in Cleveland, Ohio, modeled after Toyota Production System (TPS), mentored by Russ Scaffede of Toyota Georgetown Plant.
