Specialty import distribution center dealing with items such as
consumables, rugs, furniture, candles and plates.
Domestic Logistic Supervisor
Develop, plan and interpret inbound and outbound scheduling needs to meet
business and financial objectives. Analyze distribution requirements, store
labor concerns, physical requirements, federal and local regulations and
carrier constraints to develop and execute pick, load and delivery
schedules to ensure efficient flow of goods through each distribution
center. Provide consultation and/or expert advice to all company and
external management partners. Audit, process and negotiate freight claims

Maintain relationship as the primary regional contact for all domestic

utilizing Transportation Management System (TMS), Warehouse Management
System (WMS), and Yard Management System (YMS).
Provide expert advice with all internal company contacts and external
partners regarding the movement of freight, trailer/equipment
availability, capacity issues and freight payments.
Provide guidance and recommendations to management regarding carrier
performance and possible replacement of carriers.
Track and Trace the progress of inbound and outbound shipments and
carriers to ensure expectations are met.
Identify changes and recommend solutions to improve processes and
information integrity.
Develop, plan and interpret freight volumes on a daily basis to ensure
timely flow of merchandise through the distribution center and into the
stores in the most cost effective manner.
Ensure all carriers including private fleet operations are knowledgeable

Validate P.O. integrity and maintain information in keeping company
inventory management teams informed on the status of freight.
Distribution System Supervisor
Create, maintain and submit all selection criteria using the WMS waving
process. Research essential data element issues, locations, etc., for
purposes of complete waving integrity. Create pre-waves based on store pick
and load schedules. On a daily basis, prioritize priority wave requests,
special events and central replenishment for waving. Research 'no-locs',
problem skus, etc., that prevent allocations from properly waving. Ensure
all events are dropped on a daily basis and waved as per schedules. Create
and maintain numerous reporting spreadsheets, including successful
completion of the end wave process on a daily basis. Additional duties
include managing the data entry clerk and all ticket flow to the outbound
department.
Key Achievements:
Create pre-wave criteria on central replenishment and manual event
allocations for our brick and mortar stores, including BBBY and
internal/external internet base stores using the WMS/AS400 software.
Monitor all store routes and scheduled dispatches to ensure a timely
departure from the distribution center.
Research and troubleshoot problem allocations and SMS vs. PKMS
deficiencies.
Monitor shop/tab event flow, sku exceptions, aged distros, end waves, and
event coded cancelled cartons.
Prioritize distributor request, DC-to-DC transfers, and store requested
priorities.
Maintain constant communications with IM managers/analyst,
transportation, VDC stores, GSI ecommerce partners, and internal DC

Inventory Analyst
Provide support to all areas of the Flow/IC/QC department. This includes,
but is not limited to collecting all data in regards to accuracy, errors,
shrink and other key indicators from the flow department and through PKMS
reports. Review operational processes to report on various operational
trends to better report results to the management team.
Key Achievements:
Maintain and submit overall warehouse production reports; including
cancelled cartons, accuracy, warehouse capacity, sku unit adjustments,
department audits, etc.
Maintain daily inventory control reports; such as cycle counts, dynamic
moves, critical data, lock code reports, transitional inventory, advance
product flow.
Monitor season coded skus for major holiday events and ensure all product
exits the DC within set deadlines.
Assist in organizing and performing annual physical inventories for the DC.
Create AS400 user profiles, maintain an accurate account for all profiles
current and deleted; and coordinate with Sarbanes-Oxley on conducting
audits.
Inbound/FDA-USDA Coordinator
Create and schedule inbound appointments. Monitor and segregate all orders
pending FDA/USDA approval. Audit and track all containers directed to our
3PL yard site. Report production statistic reports to the
internal/external management team.
Key Achievements:
Schedule domestic appointments with local carriers and coordinate with the
Hampton Roads Port and the third party logistic company for imported
container deliveries and pick-ups.
Maintain communication daily with carriers, vendors, buyers, FDA/USDA
partners, and onsite management staff.
Coordinate with FDA/USDA on product not yet released from hold to process
for testing and segregate to cease any shipments to stores.
Manage kronos and financial expense reports for outside lumping services.
