Responsibilities/Accomplishments:
Responsible for drafting and providing information for various sections of the
Proxy and coordinating printing, Edgarizing and mailing the Proxy. Responsible
for coordinating with Broadridge in ensuring the Notice and Access is
completed and distributed accurately and timely.
Responsible for paying all BOD cash and stock compensation (including
deferrals), tracking the payments, and ensuring all compensation and
beneficial interests are presented accurately in the Proxy and 10-K.

Responsible for creating automated Access based financial operating reports
for plant managers. These reports were created to help plant managers control
costs.

total cost of the union contract and estimating costs of changes to the

Successfully instituted the Quarterly Review Process. Redesigning the capital
budgeting process required analyzing benchmarks against other utilities to
determine the optimum process for NVE. During the redesign of the capital
budget, I was responsible for tracking, reporting, organizing and preparing
the capital budget for the entire company. I facilitated the executive
meetings for approving the budget.
Selected to be on the Merger Integration Team to design the support staff
organization for Energy Delivery. The team reviewed current business
processes for all support staff and developed the new organization based on
Best Practices of both Sierra Pacific and Nevada Power.
Prepared financial forecasts for 20-Year Resource Plans and various Amendments
to Resource Plans required by the State of Nevada's utility regulatory agency
and the company's official short term forecasts sent to the investment banking
institutions.
Responsible for analysts training. Training includes financial analysis
models and techniques; forecasting and statistical analysis; basic spreadsheet
programs; and Proscreen software system.
Designed spreadsheet models to: automate the power plants' 20-year maintenance
Plan; automate net present value spreadsheets for use in the capital budgeting
process; forecast deferred fuel for input into utility planning model; to
monitor NPC financial ratios on a monthly basis; and to maintain database of
NVE financial information used extensively in forecasting and statistical
analysis.

requirement method of analysis.
This position requires an understanding of regulatory accounting and finance,
strong computer skills and the ability to work accurately under time
constraints. The financial forecasts require extensive short-term projections
of NPC's operating budget for both the income statement and the balance sheet,
essentially creating a working monthly budget. These short-term projections
were necessary to build the base for the mid-term and long-term financial
forecasts.
