Reviewed processes and created written procedures for evaluating material in regard to obsolete inventory,
reducing 1.2 million of obsolete inventory down to a manageable $320, 000 quarterly targets. Accomplished
by forming and working with a cross functional team including engineering, purchasing, production and
aftermarket sales to help consume, sell or scrap existing inventory with a focus of a more timely usage for
future product development. Created and implemented ABC coding, min/max levels, and structured review
procedures for all 19,000 inventory items helping reduce 2.2 million in on hand inventory to consistent levels
between 800 and 1.2 million depending on the production schedule and scale of machinery being built.
While reducing the number of active items by 2/3rds changing the focus of on hand inventory and reducing
lead-time to move toward a just in time environment while increasing customer fulfillment. Indentified
$500,000 of savings on parts and developed strategic global and local sourcing partnerships. Working with
engineering and development to help both foreign and domestic partners meet the quality requirements for
critical parts. Created procedures and processes to streamline inter team communications and understanding.
