relocate to the area of my employment so that I may be readily available
and dedicated at all times.
Work Experience:
Toyo Tire; White, Ga., Oct.2010-Jan.2011
My job duties included molding rubber from a flat belt form into a
rope form. I was responsible for maintaining the quantity of rubber
being molded by computer software. It was critical to keep the rubber
grades and textures in order so that the correct rubber (16 types in
total) would be utilized in the corresponding machinery. I operated a
"stand on" fork lift to move my rubber accordingly. Safety and safety
training were integral parts of my experience.
Blue Bird North Georgia; Lafayette, Ga., Jan.2003-Aug.2010
My experiences at Bluebird (bus production plant) were a progression
throughout my employment as I gained more training, knowledge and
responsibilities. During my first year, I primarily utilized the fork
lift. In my second year, I was qualified to detect and repair
defective parts on the busses which included anything from the
swinging stop sign to the air shocks. During my third year, I
primarily worked on the production line. I became regarded as a team
leader and I was depended upon to efficiently loosen up any
"bottlenecks" that occurred during production. Safety and safety
training were integral parts of my experiences.
Chattanooga Rail Car; Chattanooga, Tn., Nov.2000-Oct.2002
I utilized many skills during my employment which included maintaining
the rail cars, wheel frames and brakes. I ensured the safety of each
railcar by moving the cars with the train engine and checking for
deficiencies. By using various tools and equipment, I repaired the
cars as needed.
Napa Auto Parts; Savannah, Ga., Aug.1995-March.2000
Primarily, I was depended upon to deliver products in a timely and
safe manner. This was critical to the efficiency of the business. In
between delivery runs, I would assist the store in other ways such as
cleaning or stocking shelves, thereby, utilizing my time to its
fullest potential.
TICO Terminal Service; Savannah, Ga., Nov.1995-Sep.1999
In addition to running dispatch, I supported the truck fleet by
ensuring vehicle safety. This included checking tires, fueling,
parking, and washing as needed.
Skills / Strengths:
In addition to my experiences listed above, I am also proficient in
appliance repair (3 years experience in a family business). I am
skilled at electrical, natural and propane gas systems. Spot welding
and metallic grinding skills were utilized frequently during many of
my occupations. I am very dependable and motivated.
