Senior System Engineer / MIW Consultant

Responsible for Managed AVPN/EVPN Service portfolio testing consisted of IPv4/IPv6 dual stack, Class

of Service (CoS), router performance, VRF/VLANs and custom feature testing based on the agreed scope

and requirements.

• Design, testing, and validation of CoS of each Cisco ISR G1/G2 platforms (1921, 2901, 2911, 2921,

3925, 3945, ASR platforms) for each WAN T1/E and T3/E3 circuits (FR, MLPP, and PPP) to Core

PE routers such as Juniper’s M320 and T640.

• Experience with network architecture design, implementation, ISR-G2, ASR Routers installation as

well as performance, resiliency (HSRP/MHSRP) and scalability buffer/memory testing.

• QA/Verification of Cisco IOS and routing protocol features (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, MPLS, ACL,

WRED, CoS, vrf, unilink) testing, requirement reviews, and customer deliverable.

• Developed and implement test environment consists of Cisco ISR G1, G2 routers, Cisco, Juniper

core switches, dual stack IPv4/IPv6 OSPFv3, EIGRP, BGP/MPLS/IBGP/EBGP, IPv6VPN/VRF,

• Work closely with developer to determine operational details, test beds, development of system

integration test cases and automation/test tools (Ixia, Abacus, QTP, wireshark).

• Multicast, Data, EMS GUI and SIP stress/performance automation testing with the combination of

QTP and Expect Scripts.

• Developed and executed test cases using Spria Team tools to validate the conformity of the GPON

Responsible for providing leadership in development and operation of the $13M premier world class

interoperability lab (Next Generation Network Lab), customer visit center, and the company’s entire

portfolio of products (5ESS/PBX, data networks, wireless, optical core, etc.).

• Educated Lucent partners (Cisco, RiverStone, Foundry and Juniper) and customers on

interoperability, performance, stress, and benchmark testing for new service designs and deployment.

• Developed, tested, supported and implemented the Network Hosted Services Solutions Lab, including

the integration of Lucent’s ATM/MPLS, IP, and Optical network products, high speed DSL, access

network products, and partner (Sun, IBM, EMC) networks, hardware and software products.

• Planned, designed and developed Optical/Metro (OptiStar, LambdaUnite, MetroDMX, MetroEON,

Cisco MDS 9509), Storage Transport Fiber Channel Networking training and support, and

demonstrated solutions for major customers and partners. Supported the MetroDMX team to obtain

• Implemented the interoperability testing between Lucent Optical and Data Center products, including

Wavestar product line Edge Switches and OEM product lines (Foundry/Alteon), utilizing SUN

servers, Storage Area Networks (SAN), EMC Connectrix/Symmetrix, Network Attached Storage

(NAS), streaming video, backup solutions and Fiber Channel over IP with SONET and Gigabit

Ethernet interfaces. Tested Remote Data Center configurations, SRDF (EMC) and SNDR (SUN) for

reliability/availability.

• Developed, implemented and delivered Service and Enterprise solutions including Lucent’s IP IMS to

• Provided technical Tier IV support and training to the AT&T Global Network Management Center

and AT&T customers on new network devices and Frontier/NetScout RMON (network performance

device) deployment.

• Conducted system integration/feature tests of leading manufacturers’ networking hardware products

including routers, bridges, ISDN, LAN adapters (ethernet and token ring), intelligent HUBs and

DCE/CSU equipment. Protocol support included Novell, StarGROUP OSI, TCP/IP, AppleTalk, DEC

LAT and system integration which consisted of V.35, X.25 (NewBridge), Frame Relay, ISDN/PRI,

AT&T DSU/CSU, FDDI and SMDS.

• Developed and delivered a technical presentation/training seminar to over 200 associates throughout

17 district offices on Asynchronous Transfer Mode and StarLAN/WAN technologies.

• Developed router performance benchmark test program using StarLAN 10 NAU (10BaseT) and

4/16MB Token Ring with the following protocols: XNS, TCP/IP, IPX, ISO/CLNS, and Vines.
