EXPERIENCE:
April 2010 to Present -MAGNA/ Kamtek, Birmingham AL; Die maker for metal
stamping outer
Panel's & inners for the automotive industry such as body sides, doors,
fenders and lift gates.
My job responsibilities were to fix and repair dies as needed engineer
changes which involved die tryout, welding. Punch finishing, spotting and
draw die metal formability, spoting trim dies cam dies, trouble shoot and
line support. Machining when necessary.
July 2004 to December 2010 - EXPERIMETAL, Sterling Heights, MI: Worked in
die tryout, press stamping, welding, and bench dies, provided input on die
designs, assisted in making parts in a more efficient manner, and worked
with deep draw dies and Class A surfaces.
July 2002 to July 2004 - PROTO FAB & FIXTURE, Sterling Heights, MI: Worked
on die tryout, benching, welding, press stamping, die setup and die design
changes, deep draw dies and Class A surfaces, and was a working press room
leader first piece approval runs, troubleshooting non-conforming production
processes, repair dies as documented on the die maintenance form, assist in
die modification to support quality requirements, make sections, punches,
etc. per requirements documented on the design drawing, use tool room
equipment including lathe, milling, surface grinder, and radial drill.
March 2000 to July 2002 - KRIEWALL ENTERPRISES, Romeo, MI: Essential duties
include assisting in die tryout runs, first piece approval runs,
troubleshooting non-conforming production processes, repair dies as
documented on the die maintenance form, assist in die modification to
support quality requirements, make sections, punches, etc. per requirements
documented on the design drawing, use tool room equipment including lathe,
milling, surface grinder, and radial drill. Was classified as a die
specialist for die tryout and trouble shooting.
July 1996 to March 2000 - FAB ALL MANUFACTURING, Troy, MI: Prototype tool
& die maker. Tool & Die maker die tryout for the automotive industries die
trout on 3 & 4 pc deep draw dies to 2 pc form dies ranging from bumpers to
class a surfaces such as body sides fenders inner and outer panels tryout
involved spoting welding engineering changes to die buy offs.
