Machinist
A machinist within a small machine shop specializing in the manufacture of aircraft
components for defense contractors. The shop contained twelve Acme-Gridley screw
machines of various sizes and capacities. Performed the set-up and operation of said
machines. Machined raw stock into finished components of close tolerances according to
contractor’s blueprints and specifications. Did purchasing, cost estimation, and preparation
of bids. Supervised four machinists in all phases of operation.

Inventory Control Supervisor/Data Coordinator
Performed duties as an inventory control supervisor within a $12.5 million dollar
warehouse facility. Duties were inventory, Liaise with other departments and senior
department staff to highlight errors and implement improvements, perform regular audits,
analyze excess inventory and make recommendations for reducing excess, did ordering,
p urchasing, and prepared material costs for construction projects. Developed software for
i nventory control based on the FIFO system using CICS and Microsoft systems. Developed
a cross-check system for inventory control that was adapted by all State agencies. Ensured
daily operations within the department.
