Set up the basis for growth, designing and launching different SCM
portfolio solutions, supporting revenue growth from repairing 20K to
140K units per week, for customers as RIM, Samsung, PALM and HTC in
operation of 3,800 employees 24hours/ 7days in peak demand time with
different business models such as consigned, 3rd party VMI, Turn Key, and
Buy sell
Coordinated the successful movement to a new building, with 10% of budget
savings, with minimum impact to production and not impact to

Main SCM solutions implemented were Turn Key with 8 to 10 in Inventory
turns, On line Inventory transactions by setting Warehouse SAP module,
with 99.5% of inventory accuracy, RMA Units / Import and Receiving logistic

per unit received, total net of $100K USD per week, and a total of $950K
USD yearly, with a favorable impact in TAT - Turn around time - from 5
to 3 days, for customer orders service time.
Other SAP module implemented was Quality, controlling the lots acceptance
and rejects by supplier, improving the Return to Vendor rate by 10%.
Implemented the Harvesting operation logic in the BOM to integrate the
recovered or reused parts % in MRP calculation resulting in inventory
savings of 7% to 10% in BOM cost.
Collaboration with Global commodity team to integrate a Procurement team in
ASIA, resulting in 17 to 25% of PPV. Establishing the control and
management processes of these, such as PO's on time, Quality Service/Return
to vendors, Quality index, Re-schedule and Cancellation execution, etc.
Effective E&O weekly analysis and feedback to customer, resulting in
reduced liabilities for the customer and Celestica.
Setting the operational Key Performance Indicators metrics system,

space, automotive - such as Panasonic, Honeywell, Avaya, Alcatel,

Leader of the SCM Initiative,in collaboration with corporate different
areas, North America SCM VP and the Site GM, to turn around the
operation, which after doing simultaneous and multiple accounts
transfers from North American sites to Mexico was severely impacted in
controls and processes. Successfully setting strong Demand
Planning process, Inventory control /accuracy process and Certification

to growth from $900M USD revenue to $1,3B USD having a reduction of

Defined and established the Key Performance Indicator System, QPOMS,
Quality Operating Metrics System, extracting data from SAP and some other
business applications, to measure and improve OAR execution from los
60%'s to over 90%, ( Po's past due, expedite and cancellation messages ),
Inventory accuracy from 57 to 98.5%, E&O reduction by 40%, PPV improvement
of 5%, premium freight Celestica to absorb by 80%, Overtime by 80% and
freight reduction of 60%.
Key factor was the definition and implementation of the SCM certification
program which certified all SCM personnel on, SAP, APICS, Serving Customer,
Effective negotiations, Presentations and Communication skills, and Data

Launched a green field operation, from $100M revenue during the first
year of operation to $1,4 Billion of USDollars on the 3rd year,
establishing all SCM strategies, processes, methods, training programs and
teams to support this ramp up.
Materials Metrics System defined and implemented to control all KP's,
applying 7S's methodology / problem solving and continuous improvement

Responsible of 4 SCM mgrs, Planning, Purchasing, Warehouse/Shipping and
New Product Introduction, SCM headcount over 500 .
Vertical manufacturing model, within 2 facilities ( one SMT, Plastics
injection shop and pad printing and the second one with Final Assembly, test, pack and ship )
I leaded as SCM Champion of the Initiative to convert the entire Factory
from Build to Stock to Build to Order Site with deliveries within 24hrs
from when customer entered the order to when this is shipped out.,
implementing the Distribution center operation . This initiative eliminated
the risk of Excess and Obsolete in Final products by $30M USD.
For this initiative I worked with the facility in Spain - Dos Cantos site-
to learn about the 3C model they have ( Capacity-Commonality and
Consumption ) material replenishment model.
Team members were integrated by Marketing, Bell Labs, Manufacturing,
Engineering, Finance, IT/SAP, etc, working with PRTM Management Consulting
Firm and main Executives in the Corporation.
Results were very satisfactory as the target was met: Build to Order model
within 24hrs response time., by receiving the orders at night, - In ATP
SAP Module - manufacturing and shipping the next day all above according to
Budget and Target time.

Manufacturing Release Letter was approved by Manufacturing so then it
was transferred to Production's responsibility.
Implemented PACE - Product at Cycle Excellence- process with the support
of PRTM, with extraordinary results such as the record Introduction
time of new Tier 3 model from design to mass production of 23 weeks.
Other good metrics results were: Inventory Accuracy of 99%, obtaining the
Waiver for the annual physical inventory, inventory turns of 15, ECO's
obsolescence reduction of 50%, etc.
