Director of IT Operations
The primary responsibility is to provide tactical and
strategic direction for the 24x7 Enterprise Production
Operation Department. This includes all of FedEx Data Centers
globally and all FedEx Operating Companies. The department
consists of 5 Sr. Managers and 2 manager direct reports, with
18 managers reporting to those Sr. Managers positions, 239
FTE's and 180 outside services contractors that provide
technical and operational support across many geographical
locations. This position is Accountable for an $18 million
dollar expense budget, $25 million dollar capital budget and
numerous vendor contracts.

Managed staff comprised of 4 Site Managers, 50 Technicians, 4
Supervisors, 2 Functional Managers, 1 Administration
Assistant, responsible for 3000 users in seven states
dedicated and remote dial connections. Each Site Manager is
responsible for voice, data, LAN/WAN and video at each
location. Developed a corporate strategy for Browser Based
topology using Citrix servers and thin clients (Cloud
Computing). Currently phasing out fat clients and non-Citrix
compatible software applications. The network is comprised of
a Frame Relay Network with Cisco routers utilizing HSRP with
redundant circuits, Cabletron switches, Cisco switches, Nortel
PBX's with Voice over IP capabilities. Developed RFP's for
Telecommunications (MCI), Desktop Life Cycle and Cellular
Phone single source projects. Responsible for 8 million
dollar expense budget, 6 million dollar capital budget,
corporate security, and Health Care Auditing concerning I.S.
requirements.

supervisors. Supported approximately 1700 Pittsburgh local

Frame Relay locations, Head Quarters located in Moon Twp.,
software development sites in Akron Ohio and Monroeville Pa.,
Novell LAN's, NT server, PC desktops, laptops, inventory

several major projects including:
. Migration from DEC Pathworks NOS to Novell, 1000 users
