RJF INTERNATIONAL CORP.

RJF International is a $150 million manufacturer of engineered polymer
products for specialty markets. Over 500 people are employed at the
Corporate Headquarters and manufacturing facilities located in the U.S.
Manager of Global Purchasing (2010 - 2013)
Responsible for all purchasing activities for two manufacturing facilities
sourcing in the U.S. as well as China, India, Korea, and Taiwan. Sourced
plastic, PVC, TPO, TPE resins, plasticizers, fabrics, modifiers,
stabilizers, fillers, pigments, inks, fabrics, and packaging materials.
Responsible for streamlining purchasing activities, negotiating long term
contracts, and developing cost savings. Also responsible for all Quality
functions for two manufacturing facilities and interfacing with final
customers. Responsible for maintaining ISO 9000 registration.
. Developed program to use recycled materials to reduce cost of raw
materials. Identified and sampled sources, worked with technical
group to identify material composition and cost and then qualified
sources. Developed a sustainable supply resulting in reduced total
material costs by 50%.
. Streamlined purchasing activities by contracting with vendor
management organizations (VMO) for packaging materials, office
supplies, and MRO supplies. Worked closely with the Accounting
functions to take advantage of favorable terms, managing cash flow,
electronic payment methods, and minimizing inventory position by
utilizing consignment agreements.
. Implemented electronic Returned Goods Module within existing ERP
system. Worked closely with Accounting, and Customer Service groups
to assure a fully integrated system.
Manufacturing Manager (2006 - 2010)
Responsible for managing the manufacturing, compounding and finishing
operations for the main plant in Marietta, OH and supplying raw film,
laminated sheet, printed sheet, and embossed sheet to the Louisville, KY
plant.
Responsible for setting inventory policy and managing off the shelf vs.
make to order inventory. Manage the production and inventory control for
both facilities and setting long term direction on production capacities
and equipment purchases. Responsible for capital improvements budget of
$300,000 to $1 million per year. Manage a manufacturing team consisting of
11 salaried employees and 150 hourly employees.
. Implemented lean manufacturing initiatives which increased
productivity by 15% and reduced waste by 23%. Supported sales
increases of 20% plus in the market place.
. Established long term objectives in relation to the Union contract and
participating directly in the negotiating of the bargaining agreement.
Responsible for the day to day application of the bargaining
agreement.
. Integral in evaluating and revamping manufacturing process leading to
a reduction in waste by 45% for a product line that feeds a sister
plant.

support 90% off the shelf shipments of customer orders, while managing
100,000 + sku's, 30,000 of which are inventory stockable items.

35% to meet demands of Marketing group.
Materials Manager (2000 - 2006)
Responsible for all materials functions within the plant: Purchasing,
Production & Inventory Control, Information Technology, Logistics and
Warehousing. Direct responsibility for manufacturing of Erasable
Wallcovering products. During this time period, helped this new product
grow by 50%.
. Led effort to implement Purchasing module in the new ERP system.
Responsible for interfacing and setting up policies working with the
Accounting functions of the organization. Drove the efforts of
product costing in the ERP system.
. Initiated off shore purchasing of major raw materials. Negotiated long
term major raw material purchases and consolidation of suppliers
resulting in savings of 5% of major materials. Managed a total
purchasing spend of $50 million dollars per year.
Manufacturing Manager, Calendering / Production & Inventory Control (1993 -
2000)
Managed the acquisition and integration of a competitor wallcovering
manufacturing facility into the Marietta plant. Integrated the entire
volume with the addition of one added production line. Managed assimilation
of acquired inventory. Concurrently changed the plant's printing
technologies from solvent to water based inks.
. Member of corporate team that specified, evaluated and purchased the
new ERP system; established the initial corporate framework for
system. Implemented the ERP system within the plants and warehouses
which included item identification, work orders, production reporting
and supports the ability to use MRP and MPS.
. Managed the Calendering and Sheet Extrusion operations; worked
closely with sales organization to support a 50% increase in sales
volume.
PRIOR BUSINESS EXPERIENCE
Began business career as Manufacturing Supervisor; promoted to Materials
Conservation Supervisor, Manager Shipping, Receiving, and Warehouse, and to
Production and Inventory Control Manager. Then in 1993 promoted to
Manufacturing Manager.
