I am currently a Sr. Manager in the Information Technology department at
the LIRR. Currently I manage the group that performs the following
management functions:

I have over 30 years of progressive systems development Program Management
experience and responsibility within the IT business sector. I was employed
at Northrop Grumman, in their IT division as Director of Business
Development in their Systems Integration Strategic Business Unit. Other

Systems/Applications Development, Marketing & Sales Director, Member of IT
Governance Committees, European Operations, and Project Manager for
Internal Corporate Systems Development.
After leaving Northrop Grumman, I was employed by an IT organization
headquartered in the DC area. I managed their IT projects (staff of 95) in
the NYC and NYS area. I was then re-assigned to their systems development
operations in California and was their General Manager and Director of
Systems Development, Project Management Office (PMO) and Implementation
Services.

Currently I am a Sr. Manager in the Information Technology department at
the LIRR. Currently I manage the group that performs the following three
functions:
. System Development Quality Assurance - Software quality assurance
(SQA) consists of a means of monitoring the software development
processes and methods used to ensure quality by performing functions
such as:
o Maintains product consistency throughout SDLC cycle, to include
the design, define and build phases through quality checkpoints
and testing.
o Manages the planning and execution of testing efforts, including
all associated resources to meet committed delivery dates.
o The Quality Assurance Manager provides general supervision and
technical guidance to the QA Staff in the analysis, design,
testing, and deployment of all LIRR applications. The Quality
Assurance Manager maintains ultimate responsibility for assuring
that all products are defect free and compliant with technical
specifications.
o Provides necessary definition, development and deployment of the
LIRR applications product quality assurance strategy, addressing
all phases of product development.
o Directly supervises Quality Assurance Team Lead, Quality
Assurance Engineers and Testers including the preparation and
delivery of staff performance evaluations and career development
activities.
o Manages department and overall expectations pertaining to
setting accurate schedules, costs and resources.
o Ensures delivery against QA department goals and objectives,
i.e. meeting commitments and coordinating overall quality
assurance schedule.
o Maintains product consistency throughout SDLC cycle, to include

. Program Manage Office - A Project Management Office (PMO) is a group
or department within the LIRR IT department that defines and
maintains standards for project management and functions such as:
o Providing effective communication regarding issues, objectives,
initiatives and performance to software implementation plans.
o Working with Project Managers to develop project schedules and
resource allocation models for QA related projects and other
activities such as software deployment, customer integration,
and professional services validation.
o Ensuring proper tracking of project data and milestones
o Ensuring regular project status reports are available to
decision-makers
o Coordinating communications across business units
o Conducting regular quality assurance reviews
