Jhon Ruiz reported directly to me for two and a half years as the Sales and Marketing Manager

for White Labels at Tourico Holidays, a Travel Holdings, Inc. company. Jhon has an intrinsic

passion for the selling process and relationship management. Additionally, he consistently

demonstrated his commitment to our organization by doing whatever it took to get the job done.

Jhon’s position was a challenging one – involving both internal and external sales, marketing, and

project management involving cross functional teams. Under Jhon’s management, White Label

business grew 40% from 2010 to 2011. Even with an extremely large work load, Jhon always kept

a positive attitude and his infectious laugh.

As manager of people, it is a constant challenge to keep each individual properly motivated,

especially when long hours are the rule, not the exception. From day one, Jhon put in 10-12 hour

Product marketing manager and business development of specialty technology products, software, and

total solutions; responsible for the development and execution of manufacturers’ business plans to increase

months)

Sales and Marketing Manager – Manager of the distribution channel: International white label websites

Reporting to: VP of Marketing and VP of sales.

Tourico Holidays is an international, travel brokerage company offering travel solutions to travel

professionals located in 100 countries. The company has 17 years in operations, 37 locations in 6

continents, 400 employees, 23,000 direct hotel contracts, 4,405 clients, average 4 million dollars daily sales,

40% growth in sales in 2011, and 5.6% positive EBITDA.

The position involved sales, marketing, and management activities for one of the company’s distribution

channels: roughly 100 booking engine websites (with reseller’s branding - in 34 countries) selling a massive

inventory of 23,000 global hotel products, cruise lines, attractions, cars, transfers and activities. Additionally, I

supervised, trained and supported 20+ sales managers and 60+ clients across the world. My distribution

channel made 14.7 million dollars in sales in 2011.
