EDUCATION GEORGIA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY Atlanta, GA

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (1999)

Undergraduate GPA: 3.91/4.00

WORK EXPERIENCE MERCER ENGINEERING RESEARCH CENTER Warner

Robins, GA

Mechanical Engineer - 5 years (11/2007 to 12/2012)

. Use SolidWorks to create structural layouts of

airframe for military aircrafts such as C-5, C-

130, A-10, F-15, and HH-60G Helicopter, which

belong to the US Air Force at Robins AFB.

. Develop re-designs to support structural

modifications of those aircrafts.

. Perform stress analysis using NASTRAN to make sure

the re-design meets structural requirements.

. Develop test plan and set up tests to validate a

design.

. Coordinate activities with fabrication shop to

make design prototypes for testing and

implementation.

. Provide recommendations to Air Force customers to

help them correct various problems affecting

aircraft operation.

. Recommendations include detailed modification

instructions, detailed engineering drawings and/or

detailed analysis.

. Perform reverse-engineering to update mechanical

components that are obsolete, then make design

change or material change as necessary.

. Lead design reviews with internal and external

customers to ensure compliance with project goals

and specifications.

. Help write technical proposals to win competitive

contracts.

LOCKHEED MARTIN AERONAUTICS COMPANY

Marietta, GA

Aeronautical Engineer - 5 months (02/2007

to 07/2007)

. Generated conceptual design for aircraft landing

gears.

. Performed trade studies to determine cost and

configuration of the nose and main landing gears.

. Performed preliminary load calculation for landing

gear components.

WORK EXPERIENCE GENERAL MOTORS CORPORATION Milford, MI

(cont.) Vehicle Dynamics Center - Milford

Proving Ground

Engineering Specialist - 4.5 years (08/2002 to

01/2007)

. Established modeling methods and computer input

data for analyzing static and dynamic problems

related to the design and development of vehicle

chassis using ADAMS, a multi-body dynamics

software, and NASTRAN, a Finite Element Analysis

software.

. Built full-vehicle models, using ADAMS, to perform

assessment and development of vehicle ride and

handling attributes.

. Provided design recommendations for suspension,

steering and other chassis subsystems resulting

from static and dynamic analysis of full-vehicle

or subsystem models.

. Used ADAMS to predict static and dynamic loads

acting on the vehicle chassis and body structure

due to road-load inputs.

. Verified structural integrity of chassis

structures and components by interpreting results

from Finite Element Analysis using NASTRAN.

. Presented stress analysis results on chassis

structures and components to conform to strength

and stiffness requirements.

. Prepared and documented analysis results in the

form of technical reports.

GENERAL MOTORS CORPORATION Warren,

MI

Advanced Vehicle Development Center

Chassis Design Engineer- 3 years (08/1999 to 07/2002)

. Took vehicle definition and requirements and

transformed them into 3D design configuration and

layout in using CAD.

. Led the design and integration of major vehicle

subsystems including frame, subframes, powertrain

mounts, suspensions, steering, driveline, fuel

storage, exhaust, brakes, tires and wheels.

. Worked with suppliers to design, test and validate

the above vehicle subsystems and components and

release them for production.

. Designed and released suspension and steering

systems on the following vehicles: Hummer H3,

Saturn Vue, Chevy Equinox, Saturn Outlook, GMC

Acadia, Buick Enclave.

. Designed and integrated a complete chassis for a
