• Implemented online banking systems into financial institutions. Installed and configured
Microsoft Clustering, Windows NT4/2000 Advanced Server, Networking components, Microsoft
SQL Server 7/2000, Internet Information Server 4/5, as well as Corillian’s Voyager and Control
Center software packages on Compaq/HP/Dell Rack Server Systems.
• Maintained system integrity, implemented software upgrades, and performed data migration.
• Implemented and maintained virtual private networks between Corillian and out of state client
sites.
Key Accomplishments:
• Implemented online banking system for a “Top 5” bank head-quartered in the mid-west that had
no prior online banking system and was expecting an immediate client usage of 850,000 with an
expected one million within the first year.
• Stepped in to help with two different Credit Union clients that were dissatisfied with the
performance of their online banking systems and the level of service being received by Corillian.
Flew out to sites for face to face, resolved issues, reassured clients of our dedication, saved

Wide Area Network Systems Engineer III – Team Lead 02/97 – 06/98

• Led the LAN/WAN Engineer team for the Mid-Atlantic Region, providing technical support for
all LAN/WAN and systems operations. Duties included engineering and support of over 210
Microsoft Windows and Novell Netware servers primarily on Compaq Proliant Print/File Servers.
• Project planning and implementation of file server upgrades and patch management.
• Developed, maintained, and tested disaster recovery plan. SAA and SNA Gateway support to
mainframe.
• Responsibilities also included 24/7/365, on-call local and remote support over entire region.
• Use of TCP/IP, IPX, ODI protocols to install and configure servers, workstations, bridges, routers
and gateways.
• Working with IBM Tokin-Ring as well as Ethernet networks using source routing protocols.
• As Team Leader, took responsibility to initiate and implement needed projects to enhance systems
productivity.
Key Accomplishments:
• Organized and implemented rebuild of all Servers throughout region. Determined hardware and
software configurations for rebuild, participated in and lead team to implement seamless,
overnight hot-swap rebuilds. The results of which brought our “uptime” from an average of 88%
to 99.9% for six straight months after rebuild project was completed. For this, the department was
given published recognition from CEO of Nations Bank for outstanding service.

restore procedures and operations for 60 Server Wide Area Network located throughout the

• Determining upgrade path for hardware used for back-ups and restores such as migrating from
Adic 8000/8008 to Compaq DLT 10/20s & 15/30s.

• Migration of new hardware and software for the purpose of consolidating the back-up operations
for reduced points of human contact and reduced points of failure.
Key Accomplishments:
• Refined backup procedures to such a degree that a full-time position was no longer required for
this job. Procedures could be tasked to systems engineers requiring only an hour or so a week of
their time. This development promoted me to the Systems Engineer position listed above.
