Project Lead/EDI Coordinator & IT Manager of the IBM Group
Charged with two critical roles: project lead and programmer for conversion of the manufacturing business software
from B&L Information System’s BLIS ERP software to Epicor/Solarsoft’s iVP ERP software and IBM Group Manager
responsible for developing Information Systems to provide the functionality required by the organization.
Maintained and supported software for the following: Enterprise Resource Planning, Electronic Data
Interchange, Data Collection and Time & Attendance, Barcode Labeling, and IBM iSeries Operating System.
As IT Manager for the IBM Group, reduced annual costs an average of $54,000 per year over 4 years.
Developed, tested, documented, implemented, and trained end users in an integrated shop floor data
collection and on-demand bar coded container identification system for 5 company departments.
Successful project completion enabled company to comply with Automotive Industry Action Group
(AIAG) Materials Management Operation Guidelines mandated by the Ford Motor Company.
Developed, documented, tested, and deployed an integrated iSeries EDI solution, replacing a stand-
alone PC-based EDI system. Implementation of this system allowed us to exchange EDI documents
with Honda and to send serialized label information in our Advance Shipping Notifications.
Completion of project entailed: learning to use GXS/Inovis EDI mapping software, working with the
B&L Information Systems support staff to correct the BLIS EDI module, partner with customers to
ensure that documentation adhered to guidelines, mapping documents, and creating and
documenting process changes necessary for systems integration.
Trained the Shipping, Accounting, and Production Control Departments in usage of new system.

internet-based compliance management team.

Management Software Package developed by employer.
Designed, developed, and implemented an Inventory Interface between a proprietary Training Management
Software package and the ERP Inventory Control Modules of MAS 90 and Infinium, utilizing Microsoft Access,
IBM AS/400 Client Access and the AS/400 programming language CL.

IBM AND THE GOODYEAR TIRE & RUBBER COMPANY (NOVEMBER 1997-DECEMBER 1999):
Project and Technical Lead for multi-million dollar Y2K Readiness project for Goodyear’s corporate-deployed
AS/400 and System36 ERP applications, utilizing IBM’s Transformation/2000 Methodology.
Upgraded OS/400 and MAPICS and traveled to Goodyear sites to create baseline test scripts, inspect data,
modify files and programs, and develop programs necessary to implement all Y2K modified code.
Developed a Process Guide and Users’ Guide for a Date Inspection and Aging Tool developed by Y2K Group.

Management Information Systems Manager
Responsible for the development, maintenance, and support of the following: Future Three EDI Software, MAPICS
Manufacturing Software, OS/400 Operating System Software, all AS/400 Hardware, a Token-Ring LAN for forty plus
users, various P.C. software and hardware products, electronic mail software, and automated data collection hardware
and software.
Installed and configured Pegasus Mail for Windows, to interface with Client Access/400 for Windows ’95 and
Windows 3.x, and with the local Internet provider, to provide internal and external electronic mail capability for
the forty plus users of the Token-Ring Network.
Served as the project manager and programmer for upgrade of the manufacturing and financial business
software, from a highly modified version of MAPICS/DB at modification level three, to MAPICS/XA at release
two. As part of this upgrade Material Requirements Planning, Capacity Planning, and automated Shop Floor
Reporting (elapsed time and quantity produced through each operation), were also successfully implemented.
Eliminated the Operator position within the MIS Department by automating the receive and send functions of
EDI, documenting the EDI daily tasks, and distributing the report and forms printing to the end-users of each
department.
Developed complete documentation for all areas of MIS including a Management Information Systems
Contingency Plan to ensure QS 9000 and ISO 9000 certification.
Served as a project manager and programmer for the upgrade of the Future Three Automotive
Release/Electronic Data Interchange Software from release 9.5 to release 11.0.
Served as project manager for upgrade of an AS/400 model B45 to an AS/400 Advanced Series model
300/2041 and from OS/400 version 2 release 3 to OS/400 version 3 release 1.
