Overall responsibility for developing and creating new candy products and formulas as well as modifying and

improving existing product formulas. Developed procedures supporting candy production. Provided technical

assistance for the Marketing, Production and Engineering departments as needed. Other duties included long term

stability testing, made hard panned and tableted candy samples, performed physical, chemical and statistical analysis

associated with product development projects, provided nutritional data information for NLEA packaging

requirements, conducted monthly R&D meetings, coordinated testing from concept to plant phase, and coordinated

Responsible for training and supervising all Quality Control Line Inspectors. Approved incoming raw materials,

production batches and incoming tanker trucks. Testing included specific gravity, refractive index, pH, solids

determination, use of moisture balance, melting point and percent water present in a solvent. Handled new product

formulations and created prototypes for analysis. Reformulated existing products for improvement and new VOC

requirements. Conducted long term stability studies on formulations.
