Assist Operations Manager with oversight of daily plant operations and scheduling. The plant is

under construction and will be a 950 MW coal fired super critical unit. Current duties include

assisting the commissioning group with system start up.

Operations Manager Sept. 2009 – Aug. 2010

Oversee the operation and direction of plant facilities and equipment. The Operations Manager

manages the implementation of the plant’s operations programs and identifies items which need

improvement as well as working with the plant’s maintenance staff to assure plant facilities are

maintained in a safe and efficient operating condition at all times.

Assume responsibility for the safe operation of the facility in the absence of the Plant Manager.

Lead Control Room Operator Nov. 2006 – Sept. 2009

Assist the O&M Supervisor in the oversight of daily plant operations, and with plant scheduling and

manpower loading.

Assure that the daily log and other plant records are filled out in a timely and accurate manner.

Records include: electrical output; steam output; emissions output; fuel consumed; water consumed;

and heat rates.

Conduct periodic log and record review to ensure that tag out procedures, equipment status, and

designated administrative systems are functioning effectively.

Participate in the administrative maintenance of plant operating manuals, technical references, prints

and diagrams, and preventive/predictive maintenance records.

Complete other tasks as requested by the O&M Supervisor.

Assume responsibilities of the O&M Supervisor in his absence.

The plant is a combine cycle consisting of two power blocks each 2x1 GE 7EA gas turbine, GE

steam turbine and Siemens steam turbine. Had the opportunity to be involved thru the start up and

commissioning of the project

Journeyman/Plant Operator March 2001 – Nov. 2006
