Qualifications

Experience with successfully managing all aspects of a large melt shop caster including implementing the use of the

automated spray water system, EMS systems. Responsibilities of selecting, managing and training casting personnel; also

helped in developing and managing casting procedures on both billet and bloom casters; establishing and monitoring

production goals; and leading QIS teams on key projects. Developed and implemented written standards and operating

personnel with very little to no steel making background. This location was a start up facility where I developed and

implemented training personnel to SOP’s and SJP’s associated to rounds and square casting. Partnered with Q/A and

Production Planning departments putting casting parameters for the various sizes and grades of steel cast, along with putting

together daily casting schedules; establishing and monitoring production goals; setting up new product trials with new

suppliers; working with and managing within a monthly operating budget; meeting with new customers and explaining the

casting process; experience in working in union and non-union shops, while trying to continuously improve on quality and

customer satisfaction while trying to reduce operating cost.
