Career History

August 2012-Present Britten-Norman Aerospace.

(Mechanical Engineer)

Using manual milling/turning machines to produce

precision engineered aerospace components manufactured

from various materials including Titanium/copper/brass/

high grade aluminium/stainless steel/carbon

fibre/nilotrol.

I produce all products and components from highly

detailed engineering drawings with very fine tolerances

to meet the high quality standards within the aerospace

industry this includes one off prototypes to batch.

The use of precision measuring equipment is part of my

daily duties ranging from digital micrometers to CMM

machines to ensure all components produced and

manufactured meet the specifications and requirements.

The setting and operating of 3 axis Bridgeport CNC

Milling machines is also part of my daily role, this

includes basic programming of Licom (Alphacam) the use

and setting of various milling and boring tools

/Cutters. Manual G code data input to edit programme,

April 2012-August The components I produce using the CNC machine are for

2012 more intricate and complex shapes.

F1 Precision Engineering.

Fitter/Turner

CNC Machine Operator/Programmer.

Setting up and programming CNC machining centres and

CNC turning centres using Fanuc, Heidenhain and

Mazatrol controllers, Using the skills and techniques

in manual or CNC machining such as (Boreing/Screw

cutting, internal or

external/Roughing/Finishing/Tapping and Three

dimensional milling I am able to carry out the job from

design to the final fitting or assembly of the parts.

Working with a wide range of materials from Titanium,

Carbon Fibre, Stainless Steel, Brass. Copper, and

composite materials I produce a variety of products

from one off customer designs to mass produced

precision made parts for the Oil, Gas, Automotive,

Marine and Aerospace industries.

Also being responsible for maintenance in all aspects

Sep-2011-april 2012 of the company from plant to machine breakdown/services

and repairs.

Troubleshooting and repairs of all machines from power

tools, bench fitting tools to the manual or CNC

Machines.

Performance in people

Quality Controller/Process Engineer

Performance in people is a leading edge company at the

forefront of customer service research and good

practice. The primary business objective is to create

sustainable improvements in our clients' customer

service, and sales performance.

My role guide

Using some of the latest computer systems and software

to visually monitor and report on the service of some

of the leading automotive and financial companies in

the uk. I assessed the quality and wrote documented

reports on the service and quality the clients produced

and presented. Using some of the latest's video and

Aug 2008 - Jul 2011 sound analysing software I was able to carefully see

the quality of products and customer service clients

offered to the public followed up my findings with a

report and visual footage which was presented to the

clients.

Writing and implementing processes for the company was

another part of my daily role utilising my six sigma

and lean manufacturing skills I was able to improve

quality for clients, save cost and implement new

structures throughout the company to help ourselves and

others.

Gurit uk (Formally SP Systems)

Mechanical Engineer (Composites)

My role guide

Joined Gurit uk as a composite Engineer.

I started as an apprentice where I worked with in all

areas of the company.

I started by producing and manufacturing products on

various machines.

I was then given the role as a maintenance Engineer

This involved all types of machine maintenance form

hydraulic repairs to machining and repairs on all

mechanical components.

Other daily duties involved site maintenance ranging

from repairs and improvements to design and process

improvements.

I then moved departments as part of the Apprenticeship

and joined the quality assurance team testing and

analysing prepreg and formulated products (NDT) making

sure products conform to customer specifications and

requirements. Using non destructive testing equipment.

Trained in using various types of laboratory and

analytical testing equipment and machines. Working and

coordinating Processes. Raising and amending non

conforming material reports (NCR's) and writing reports

and work instructions. Mechanical testing and quality

control trained. Whilst at Gurit I continued my

education in (composite/polymers) engineering and

mechanical engineering which I have completed to the

highest level. Studied at the isle of Wight college.

Wave precision welding & Fabricating

(Formally Wave Precision Engineering)

2008-2008 Fitter/Turner/Welder and fabricator

My role guide.

My daily roles was to supervise / setup and operate CNC

Machines and work within the team to carry out any

Fitting/turning/ Welding and Fabricating jobs that were

required.

I would programme the machines from Engineering

drawings and customer specifications to produce and

manufacture precision made parts.

I then machine components and carry out all necessary

fitting/ welding and fabricating that was required for

the job.

I had a role in the manufacture and production from the

initial design to the final despatch of the products.
