Project Description:

The Quintiles Voice Response System is a customized software application

developed by Quintiles to assist clients in performing clinical trials.

The system is designed to automate data trials through the utilization of

Interactive Voice Response (IVR) technology to allow a user to interact

with a computer via tone impulses. The Quintiles Voice Response System

provides a user with voice prompts and accepts answers to specified

questions via the keypad of standard touch-tone telephones. Clients may

request multiple languages be available on the IVR for each trial.

Responsibilities:

. Managing Data Guard configuration.

. Monitoring the standby Database to verify changes are made to standby

database from primary.

. Identifying archive log gaps and recovering standby Database manually.

. Managing Tablespaces, undo segments, tables, indexes, views etc.

. Creating and Managing User roles, Privileges & Table space Quotas.

. Configuring database backups using RMAN and User Managed (cold & Hot)

Sprint Nextel is the one of the telecom vendors in the US. It has the

clients such as Nortel, Lucent, Motorola and Samsung vendor. The telecom

data from the various switches at the mediation is fed into the flux data

warehouse. This data gives the performance metrics like connection times

or blockings for a particular switch or RNC or market at Sector carrier

levels, engineer levels. This is the pure technical data for RF Engineer.

This data will help them to improve the quality of the service to the

vendors. The source for this data is pure flat files. Both dimension data

and fact data will be available in the single flat file.

Responsibilities:

. Extracting Data from SQL Server using BCP (Bulk Copy Program) and

loading into Oracle Tables.

. Managing Tablespaces, undo segments, tables, indexes, views etc.

. Creating and Managing User roles, Privileges & Tablespace Quotas.

. Configuring database backups using RMAN and User Managed (cold & Hot)

Backup including archive backups as per the requirement.
